I hope it isn't too late to start. I just started what may become a cool post-dubstep thing, if that genre even counts here (since it's pretty similar to the deep stuff, and many dubstep pioneers have been doing it recently). I'll only enter it if I'm not interrupting in the project. Don't extend it just for me or anything.
Or if post-dubstep doesn't even qualify, that would make things a lot easier.

Idk, they might be nice and take it in if you submit before the album art is done... True the deadline is since long pased, but if its still not out when your done you could allways send it in and hope for the best right?

I'd already contacted the artist before the submission date. The delay is because he's just really busy with real life stuff at the moment. I'm sorry, but it's beyond our control!

The album was released maybe 2-3 months after the organisers said it was going to be out, plus submitting for that didn't even guarantee you a place on the album! So by comparison, this isn't quite so bad, right?

Still no response from the artist yet. Listen, if there's nobody available to do any art then I suppose we could just release the album without art, as a .zip download. Would that be a viable plan B? I'm really sorry it's been such a long wait.
