Request: Album Art?

I'm probably putting this in the wrong forum, but I'm currently working on what will hopefully be a rather large album project. However I'm in need of a cover art and I don't have a single penny to my name, so I can't pay for a commission.

Would any of the amazing album artists here be willing to make something for me? It can be as simple or as complex as you want, as long as it looks stylish.

If possible have the size of the art 2000px by 2000px. Just remember that it should still be able to look good shrunk down to 100px by 100px.

The name of the album is "The Wonderbeats"

I was thinking something along the lines of Ministry of Sound or Skrillex's logo, where it's caught somewhere between simple and complex if that makes any sense. >.<

Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't that turn out horrible, to shrink an image from 4000000px to 10000px? Well, I'd just create 2 images, one wallpaper sized image for the background art on the youtube, and one smaller 256x256 for the thumbnail image.

And at itroitnyah: Not at all, in graphic design you do it all the time. I frequently color stuff at near 20,000px then shrink it down when I'm done. That being said, yes, I would still create two images, because websites usually just use brute-force-compression to resize things, making stuff look terrible.

Yes, the project you're thinking of is where I got the name from but I didn't steal it. That album never saw the light of day, but I liked the name of it so I sent a request to the guy, asking permission to use the name.

Yeah, you basically spelt it out. I'm looking for a logo and then an album art with the logo incorporated into it.

If you do the logo, it'd be awesome if you could send it in a file on it's own, I'm not too shabby with photoshop and can probably make something half decent from a pre-designed logo. That, and I'm considering having the plain logo put on shirts if the album works out the way I hope it will.

Shrinking stuff has no effect on the look. Enlarging does. You can always shrink...not enlarge

True that, unless the image is vectored (something I'll do for the logo if someone makes one). Then regardless of how much you shrink or enlarge it, it'll always stay at perfect quality.

I finished some album art and the logo late last night, but only uploaded it now.
There are two variants of the logo; one with only the logo and one with the rest of the name.
I also made two types of the album art; one full 2000x2000px, one at 200x200px. The album art is currently rendered in lossy jpeg format to save on space, but if you want to go ahead with it, I'll put them in png for the final copy.

That's awesome, I really like the look of the album art. Though the logo isn't exactly what I'm after, I'll admit. I'm more looking for a logo that has the album name in it.

Take for example, ministry of sound's logo.


As you can see, the name is actually part of the logo, that's kinda what I'm after.

I know I'm being picky, but this project is pretty important to me. :3

Okay, sorry it took so long to get back. I got really caught up in a lot of stuff.

I made a logo for the album, that now is basically a stylized version of the name:

That looks really cool, I'd love to see how it would look in an album art. Outa curiousity, what made you choose that style/design? What do the arrows mean! >.<

Basically to choose designs I just take a sheet of paper and doodle for about half an hour or so and whatever comes up that I like I roughly draft out on another sheet. The one I like most in the end I make on the computer.
The arrows are there because I like arrows. Arrows are cool. xD

Eeyup, I put them on the same background as the other, with a few other effects to help fill the empty space.
