It sounds great at the start, very calming, relaxing beat, pleasing to listen to. But then you get to repetitive. That's the biggest, and only real problem with this song. You need to add in some variation to go with it. And I don't mean just changing up a drum pattern or adding in a new drum pattern. I mean like, the mononote melody is too repetitive. Which, with a soothing song, it's sometimes hard to go outside of some notes without losing the soothing feeling. So if you try as hard at you can, and can't find another note to alternate between on (like note 1, note 2, n1, n2, n1, n2), which you should, since there are more than just one note you have in this song, then add in another synth. Add in a moody sub bass to bring out the low end a bit. If a sub bass doesn't work, then put in a happy pluck to play as well as the current lead synth. You just need to find a way to make it less repetitive. And another mistake that you can't do is play the same pattern too many times. I feel like I'm just saying the same thing over and over now so I'll leave now

I know what you mean by too repetitive. I had been working on it for 4 hours and didn't really feel like messing with chords. And there is sub-bass in there, but it's soft. For me, the low end shouldn't really be that apparent, but at the same time, there's enough that if you took it out there would be a noticeable difference. So it's just right. Maybe your think is just more bass. Personal preference rather than a actual problem.

Not exactly. A song like this doesn't need to have bass, and that isn't what I was implying. I guess I just didn't notice the sub bass. The sub bass that I meant was more of an upper frequency one, that doesn't add bass as much as character, so more of a drawn out sub bass. Put a low attack on it to set a softer mood or something like that. But after reviewing the song, I can distinguish where the sub bass is.
