Whoa..... I'd LOVE to try my hand at rap, as it's something new and as a drummer, I really like rhythmic music. I listen to a decent amount, though it's not my preferred genre. The only problem may be that I have a lot of projects already, but I'd gladly put some projects on hold for this.
EDIT: example of previous work.....
This, I guess. I've been mostly in a classical/orchestral/techno style for the most part, but I think I'm a pretty versatile producer. (I listen to pretty much every genre out there, so all I need is listen to a bit more rap and I easily pick up the style)

Hmmm. Rap can go very well with loads of different genres, and the people who work in those genres probably won't have much knowlege of rap and rap culture.
Welp, I never thought this opportunity would rear its head, but what the hell, I'm willing to chase after it.
So I suppose I should detail my style and previous work a bit. I've produced for a couple of rappers before (though I know you know this ):
However, my style has been shifting to a more housey-type thing, like in this song:
I'll be honest here, I can't guarantee quick production unless I get inspired (which doesn't happen everyday), but that said, I have a lot of unfinished tracks lying around, so I think if we did attempt to work together, we could eventually make something work. But I keep my plate full most of the time myself; that is to say, if it lines up, cool, if not, go work with someone faster than me
So judging by your post I'm not the guy your looking for because I don't really make music per say (yet).
What I can do is play trumpet. I need to disclaimer this as well and say that I've been a live musician for 10 years, but have not recorded myself seriously. I really want to learn this though because I figure that if I'm ever going to do anything with music, my trumpet will be a big part of it. So, this weekend I'm going down to my "studio" to figure out this whole recording thing out.
I understand that you're looking to collab with someone a bit more experienced, but if you'd like to add a trumpet part or maybe just a couple of lines and some horn blasts, I can certainly provide that. Just figured I'd throw this out there as brass players seem to be few and far between in this community.
I hope you're still available for collabs by October. I'm trying to shift more towards producing a combination of brostep and glitch hop. So I don't have any decent examples of my work yet. I should have about 3 songs finished by October though.
Sounds pretty sweet Would you be up for a DnB/Rap 170 to 180bpm if you're still available somewhere down the lane I'm always trying to venture out. http://soundcloud.com/the_last_devastator/no This is just a bit of a sample of my work.
Hell yes. I'd love to collab with someone as well known and talented as Cats.
Well... I'm a fairly fast producer (if I have a solid idea) and my style tends to be some odd combination of chiptune and orchestral with random other stuff thrown in, but I've been trying hard to branch out into different styles lately.
I'll edit in examples of my better works when I get the chance, I'm not near my computer now.
