<nonpony><original><metal/thrash>Collaboration?

Postby Spectre » 18 Aug 2012 07:17

Hi all!

This is my first post here. Stumbled across this community last week and wanted to join in on the fun.

I recorded this in 2005 with my band, Thaw. We did some touring with a few big bands (Dog Fashion Disco, although not the biggest, my favorite to work with), but I've been out of the live scene for some time now. I still produce my own music from time to time, just never been much of a producer I suppose.

Would be exciting to lend my vocals to someone who could use them. I have additional tracks that I can upload if you folks would like to hear more. I've always wanted to combine my vocal ability with more of a dubstub/techno genre. All the vocals in this track are all me, and besides the reverb in the beginning there are no affects. Tell me what you think :D

This should really be in the "Sharing is Magic" forum, or at least the collab offer should be. If you move it there I'm sure you'll get a considerable amount more comments.

On another note, I'm not really one for screaming, but I loved that track. If I find time I might have to take you up on that offer. (I play guitar, it would be sweet if we could make an virtual band for a track.)

Anyway, thanks for the post, and welcome to the community! :D

I could definitely use your screams. Been aiming to mix dubstep and harsh vocals, though I have a lack of decent scream samples and I can't record my own yet. Contact me if you're interested.

I'm not familiar with that forum actually, but I'll certainly give it a shot. I tried searching for it, but was not able to come up with any results.

Nirv, I could provide you with the tracks for the vocals I already recorded, or if you have a track prepared, I could record the vocals for you and send them over. Do you have any tracks you can send me?

When it comes to electronic music, I find that usually the music is capable of sustaining itself without vocals a lot of the time. Doesn't mean that they can't be used sparingly or even molded to a degree to overlap the music that does not take away too much from the style.

Oh, nevermind, I just found the forum on the main page. Pardon me, still getting familiarized with this site. Thanks for the tip though!
