We CAN stick with the bronyquest fundraiser for some event/convention. But, I think we can get an idea of a charity from the Soft Spectrum thread: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3759

I actually just got Massive and downloaded a bunch of samples of people unsheathing swords and knives. I should be able to destroy some ear drums and summon the devil.

You sud get lave's patch and tweak on "extraverted". IT SOUNDS SO GOOD WHEN you use a custom version of it (IMO)

I think I misread the OP. If this is a collaborative effort, then count me out, as I'm a solo kind of guy. I originally understood it to be some kind of compilation album, but (correct me if I'm wrong) I'm reading it now to be a collaborative effort with unifying themes. If so, best of luck to this project, but it's really not my thing. :)

Software: I'm original, so i use Sunvox. I used to use LMMS, but the crashing drove me insane.

My idea was to have basically separate tracks, but under a unified theme.

How would all of you like to do it?

Yay.

But are they original? 'Cuz that would/will be much harder than remixing stuffehz.

We can go like there's one track that all the element ponehz provide an instrument anywhere in, and the rest of the album are collabs and solo's and stuff (basically, I'm liking Kyoga's idea).
But it should kinda be like the rules of Remix War V where they ARE limited to one collab, one song, and one instrument to the major piece. If we don't, we need quality control then  . I hate quality control :3.

O yea, we should also get vocal element ponies here too :D

Ok. I want to represent 2 elements now.

1. Element of Brostep
2. Element of Death Metal Growling (not Metalcore Screaming, because those are two completely different vocal techniques)

Sepeartely of course.

You can be more specific than just "element of metal". There's still death metal, djent, deathcore, metalcore, heavy metal, progressive metal, alternative metal (which is too mainstream), etc.

Note: If you do djent or progressive metal, or even death metal without collabing with me (I play an 8 string guitar), I'll track you down and slaughter you like a pig. Those sub-genres of metal are my main thing. I know I didn't list metal as my element, but that's because I can't play the drums or bass. I'm pretty good at playing metal guitar (prefferably heavier genres).

Also, if you're doing death metal (real death metal, not metalcore), I can offer vocals. I'm not amazing at screaming, but I can get some Ingested or Phil Bozeman (Whitechapel)-esque growls and do some pig squealing (kinda like Benighted or Job For A Cowboy style).

Oh, did I mention grindcore? I can do that too (mainly vocals and guitar). Any drummers there? Grindcore collab?

So how does this sound?

Everypony contributes to a track, solos still accepted, but collabs encouraged, then a couple of WTF massive fuse-all-genres together tracks.

I like the sound of that. How are we going to go about the fuse-all-genres together tracks? In a similar manner to that big 4 bar collab?

More or less, yes. If you look at the original post, I suggested a pseudo-sonata form because it involves variations on a couple of themes.

So I like this prog metal collab idea. How about, in addition to me playing bass, I supply a symphonic part to it, too, since my element is atonal classical. (Although now I'm wondering how atonal classical will actually fit here)

It's progressive metal, we can pretty much do what we want. There'll be at least one part in which atonal classical will work.

Well, either we combine atonality with tonality, or I completely take over that part to keep the whole thing form implying a tonal center.

Actually, since all my jazz stuff was back on my (now dead) computer, I pretty much have no way to compose jazz now. :|

So, I was thinking about changing my Element from the Element of Jazz to the Element of Minimalism. Besides, I am sure there are people who are much better at jazz than me out there.

Include me in your prog collab. I play an 8 string guitar.
