<Pony><Remaster> Equestral Plane

Geeze, what is it? It's not a remix, or a VIP, although I technically, "redid," the mixing, so I guess it is a remix?

Anyway, I decided to really focus everything I've learned over the past half year to make one of my tracks better, and this is the final result:

For a comparison, this is the original:

What was changed:
- Original 2 layer drum track was split into separate tracks for Kick, Layered Kick, Snare, Layered Snare, Hi-Hats, Cymbals, and Tribal Drums, each with their own panning, reverb, and EQ.
- Replaced the walking bass from a Nexus bass, to a custom patch made in Massive. EQ'd the bass to deconflict with the glitched, heavy bass, in addition to a little side-chaining to give it more presense (in the original it's barely heard outside the intro.)
- Redid all track EQs to cut frequencies and boost the non-cut frequencies.
- Side-chained the kick to the main lead that comes in prior to the down-tempo section to avoid the kick being drowned out.
- Side-chained the kick to the choir to avoid the kick being drowned out.
- Tweaked the reverb on the snare sample to give it a pseudo longer release.
- Added a one-time bass arp hit in the down-tempo section.
- Made the choir louder for the climatic part of the song.
- Small automation tweaks.
- Threw the final mix into my own mastering chain, which has gotten better with each song.

Hope you enjoy this much improved version :D

Wow, that sounds great! Your VIP is certainly a nice improvement on the original - the sounds gel together much better and there's just more 'oomph' in the overall track.
