I had no idea so many people were on this site! I won't be able to read all of these posts!

Well, my name is Noah, but I've decided to make music under the name Sonarch. I'm 15, been playing guitar for a few years, and recently started taking guitar in school, which has taught me a ton, and I'm interested in learning a bunch of other instruments. I love music of all kinds, and I can usually find something I enjoy in just about anything. Rap, rock, metal, orchestral, chiptune, i'm even starting to like dubstep. However, I haven't exposed myself to nearly enough general music, so I don't know too many bands/artists, current or otherwise, but I've decided I love pony music. It's one of my favorite parts of the fandom, and all you musicians have totally inspired me to make my own. It looks like so much fun, making music and interacting with you all. I'm excited to start producing!
Also;
-I have Sony ACID 8 and I don't know how to use it. I'm exploring, but it would be cool if I had someone on here who knew how to use it that I could go to for help.
-I don't know what kind of music I'll be making since I love all kinds, so it could be all over the place.
-My favorite pony is Dashie

I will try to refrain from getting too excited talking to some of you, as i'm a huge fan of a lot of the artists i'm seeing on this forum. Also, don't feel bad if I don't know who you are, i'm way behind on everyone's songs and have yet to catch up.
My goal is to be capable of making any kind of music that strikes my fancy, and do it well.

Hello :3

My name is Sobibble, but if you want to you can call me Rory.

I've been lurking around here for a while, found this site about a month or so ago.
I've always been interested in music but never had the patience to learn an actual DAW until I got older. (As in older... I mean I am about to turn 21 and just started)

I started getting serious with FL studio/Ableton about 8 months ago and produced a couple horrible tracks and got addicted. They are awful to the ears, but to me it was progress. Every little new thing I learn dramatically improves my work and inspires me to keep at it to produce like some of my favorite artists in this community.

So with my work quality greatly improved, and new equipment to match, I say "Hello" to you all and look forward to working with any of you.

-Ableton Live 8 Suite
-Strengths in Piano anything, and generally soft music - I'd like to think I can rap decent
-Weakness in anything related to vocal editing and singing

Hi There!
I'm Silence. Ever since I've heard of this site I thought this may be the perfect opportunity to learn how to make music. I have NEVER EVER took any DAW's in my hand neither real instruments. I have been working with 3D renders a year, but since I got FL Studio for my birthday I decided to climb a bigger mountain and learn how to make music.

Hello!

I go by Counterwise, but you can call me Connor if you like. I'm just a 16 year old bloke from Australia. If you told me 1 year ago that I would be making music about My Little Pony, I would've called you insane. The main reason being I wasn't into music much at all, and looked on all music negatively. I would always get irritated by my brother playing his dubstep WAY too loud in his room. Though now I've come to realise that music is beautiful.

Anyway, I'm a fairly new brony, only arriving in this fandom in about February. And it was this fandom itself that inspired me to start making music. I've had no musical experience what so ever before in my life, no instruments, no DAW's. But I gave FL a shot anyway, and here I am today. Although I've been producing music for a couples months, I've only decided to join MLR now because I'm rather shy, and after looking at the amount of kind and friendly people here, I have no reason why I shouldn't be here :D

My favourite genre of music if I had to pick one, would have to be Electro House, though I do enjoy basically all kinds of music, except for really heavy death metal kinda stuff. My weaknesses in making music are probably melodies, and mixing and mastering.

Wow I typed a lot here, I should probably wrap this up.

I look forward to meeting all of you, and getting know you a bit better! Hopefully I can learn a thing or two while I'm here :D

Postby Reznae » 04 Jul 2012 15:17

Hello! :D
My name is Robin and I produce music under the name Reznae.
I'm kind of new to the whole music making thing, but I feel like it's something I can learn quite easily. I've made a couple of tracks, but they're not super great or anything. I still need to learn mastering and stuff to make it sound better.
I'm trying to make everything I can within electronic music, because that's my favourite kind of music :3
I'm mostly inspired by Daft Punk and Deadmau5, but I don't think I would've started with the music making if it weren't for Omnipony (If you read this, thank you! Love your music).
I always thought you had to be 'older' to understand all the music stuff, but when I found Omni and found out that he was one year younger than me, I figured I would give music making another try. I should mention that I tried FL Studio before, and didn't understand anything of it.

So yeah, I guess that's all I need to say at the moment. Looking forward to meet other musicians here!
Sorry if my english isn't perfect, I'm Norwegian! :D

Afternoon MLR!

I'm Mike, otherwise to be known as Hooves Up! (exclamation mark included ;) ). I'm a relatively established Canadian composer and producer currently found ramming his head against a desk in an attempt to meet university application deadlines. I'm also obviously a brony. The music I produce under my own name straddles every genre from chill, abstract hip-hop to glitchy cocaine-core.

However, as HU, I produce the genre that I first got started making music with on an Atari ST running Cubase 2 so many years ago...cheesy, bubblegum, insanely riff-laden Eurodance. It's not all fluff, though. I've been known to hop on the dubstep, electro-house, and complextro bandwagons if need be, and when it comes to collabs or remixes, I'm willing to adapt my style for anyone.

I am a proud nerd, counting Star Trek, Doctor Who/Torchwood, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, and many more under my proverbial fandom belt. If you're curious about anything else, don't hesitate to ask! I'm like that goose you remember hanging around the park pond when you were little: I don't bite, unless you throw bread in my eyes or try to rub me down with ketchup.
I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up...

Hay I found the intro thread. I was looking for this thing. XD

Sup all, name's Caine the Doombringer, or just Caine if you prefer. I'm new here, if you hadn't guessed. It's been a while since I took part in any sort of message board or forum, but I figured I'd give this one a shot, as it's about brony music. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Anywho, I got invited here by a comment on one of my songs on youtube regarding the Faithful and Stron charity album, and thought I'd make myself an account and partake in the community a bit. I'm a bit of a Fluttershy when it comes to interacting with the community at times, but I figured this was a good place to start.

I make acoustic rock, and I dabble in metal/punk at times. In the process of my first EP, then workign on a full album after that. Collabs are always welcomed and encouraged, so if anyone wants to do a sawng with me, I'd be more than happy to. Just gimme a shout. Links to my works can be found in my signature.

Anywho, enough rambling from me. Once again, hello to everybody, and hopefully I'll have a good time here! ^^;
It ain't Brony Music without a blaring and intrusive airhorn sample.
