You know, people, there main post is there for a reason. There are all the rules and requirements for joining, so writing in this topic that you'd like to join is not gonna grant you one of the last spots. Do what Belgerum asked for and you may still have a chance.

Not over here, you have to buy a pack of 6 for around $10 or more, but they're worth it. I just need to get off my lazy flank and get some. ^_^

Goddangit. I went without internet for a day, and I have, like, 7 more applicants than the 25 I wanted, even after adding the 5 slots.

I only have internet for 5 minutes right now, so I have no idea how to deal with this right now. discuss.

Well, I don't think I can say for certain that you'll be on the list is someone drops, but I can probably PM you and anyone who asks about it in advance if you'd like.

Okay, I just got internet again, but only for a little while. I got even more applications in my inbox now, and not enough time to deal with them.

Because we have so much interest, though I'm afraid this may wind up too similar to Balloon Party and such, I'm going to make another executive decision and screw the artist limit. Anyone is now free to join up until this Friday, July 6th. To sign up, You must send me a PM on this site with the information in the OP.

To make up for the time between this and the WiP date, they are now due on the 27th. If I don't get a PM or Skype message by then, YOU WILL NOT GET ON THE ALBUM.

In addition, I am seriously considering quality control. I have been told that some applicants to this album are trolls and bad musicians. I will not say names, but I will also say that the purpose of this album is to give some help to great artist who are overlooked, not to GET POPULAR NOW OMG or make a newbie debut into music. I am considering making up a panel of judges, possibly from TLK1 or somewhere, and trying to root out submissions that don't show the quality that deserves the popularity the album might bring. Thoughts?

For those who have sent me messages about joining, I apologize if I take a while to get to you. For those who love chatting with me on Skype, I apologize for not being there to entertain you by making silly images and streaming audiosurf. I'm sorry that I've been busy, and I'll try to catch up on this workload.

This quality control thing scares me. I don't want a repeat of BP with all the rectum rage and anal agony. That and my inferiority complex may get the better of me.

I personally wouldn't mind quality control, because very few people are willing to listen to an album with this many tracks, especially when the title is The Lesser Knowns II. Just know that you could hurt some rejected artists' confidence in themselves, and it could start another drama-fest.

Well guys,it's a long way to the 27th.
There's plenty of time to improve your tracks so don't worry about quality control and similar things [well for now at least].

I agree on the quality control part. This is definitely going to be more popular now that the concept is well-known, album being featured on EQD is a fact, and that most of people have summer vacations now.

For what it's worth - if you decide to go for QC, I'd like to volunteer as one of the judges.

Okay, I think I'll still have to decide on stuff laterfor the judges and such, but i think that this quality control is a good idea.

Keep in mind, I'm not saying we are going to go through the submissions and say that these tracks are good and these are bad, and cut them down to any specific number. I am just saying that there would be maybe 1 or 2 eliminations because of troll entries, or severe procrastination, or any other things that would make a REALLY REALLY BAD track. I am not saying that any of the tracks on TLK1 were like this. If fact, I am personally proud of all of the tracks on the album.

Now, please excuse me while I read and work with my 15+ messages, and catch up on stuff.

I think it may be difficult to corral/manage, give adequate feedback to, and give adequate exposure to (especially among the more and more talented musicians being added) the many people who have signed up for TLK2. I feel like we should cap it around the number that you guys had for TLK1 (~20-25?), which makes for a tighter team that can give each other good feedback when the time comes and eliminates the need for quality control and these newer/less appreciated artists worrying too much about how good their songs are and more about the effort being put into it.

Just my two cents. We can always do what you guys did to people who came late in the last album, which is put them onto the next TLK. I think that makes sense, no?
