Just starting out, would like critique

My first 2 tracks. I'd like some constructive critique, anything so it can help my skills grow, thanks <3

Repetitive and lacking a lead instrument/melody, unless that is by design. I'm also not feeling the 'pony' on this, the music doesn't relate to the title much.

Yes that is designed that way. It's made so it also works as background music for videogames ;)

I have trouble with mixing pony into it.. I don't really know how to mannipulate vocals that well. None the less, if you look at Super Ponybeat - Call upon the seaponies, it isn't nessesarily pony related, nore has anything to do with seaponies. Yet it's still pony music.

I'm also quite unsure of how I can make it unrepetetive. I thought I kinda already did that, but kk :)
And what do you mean with lead instrument? I don't already have that?

Actually, if you listen to Odyssey's Call Upon the Seaponies, you can tell that it borrows heavily from the G1 song "Call Upon the Seaponies", hence the "EuroSHOOBEDOO mix". That's one thing I suggest for more "poniness" of a song: incorporate themes of the show's song and creation variations/remixes of it. Even a handful of themes (or one series of well done variations) would instantly add an essential connection to My Little Pony. It's one of the more concrete methods of putting "pony" in your song. (But don't feel pressured to make only pony music. Make whatever you want to make, it's much easier to grow as a musician that way).

I think what Solarsail meant by "lead instrument/melody" is a melody that isn't just arpeggios. Try step-wise progression for melody, but I'm not sure whether that'll work with your songs. It's something that's worth trying out though.

Oh, well well well, that is quite an awesome suggestion. Like, then just adding a few notes from lets say, winter wrap up, at some point throughout the song, and make a connection to the ponies that way? I like it

As for melody being played in chords rather than arpeggios, I'll look into it, though can't promise anything. :)

I meant it would be good to associate with the title stylistically. Using other people's work is cheap.

Videogame music, the actually memorable kind, is not just background music. Mario? Zelda? Final Fantasy?

Which is exactly why I dont want to make just remixes. I'll incorporate small bits and pieces of the original melodies of mlp music (Changed a bit of course). I didn't say I'd use other peoples work.
