I showed my teacher of one of my two colleges the album the above track is on, he loved it, and spent 15 minutes being frustrated that he couldn't come up with what it reminded him of: the album this divine track is on:

Spoiler Beady Belle - Hindsight:


The mixing is mindblowingly good, the kick is smooth and rolling and holy crack that rhythm <3 and just basically everything about this grooves. Background vocals makes this remind me of Meshell Ndegéocello, another really great artist in a similar genre.

EDIT - worthy 3500th.

Haywyre rocking it! I do think the first climax is a bit empty initially, but holy hell he knows how to make great sounds, chords and flow.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Nonagon Infinity

Album of the year, I'm 99% sure no album will take it's spot. It's kind of incredible really. Unrelenting, hypnotic, with some absolutely KILLER jams and riffs, all recorded on lo-fi equipment to give you that raw feel that over-perfected modern recordings are just unable to deliver on in all fronts.

The only people who could possibly steal AOTY spot from these guys are Machine Girl, Arca or Swans.

Honestly, this 1996 track maddens me. First of all, I can't find a legal or less-legal way to get my hands on this delicious piece of music (and its three companions), either through digital or physical means. Second, I cannot describe for the life of me how strange this track makes me feel. For a desire to describe it, I'd say that it makes me feel super super relaxed but honestly I just don't know what I'm feeling, this track is just that good yes.

I'm done. Fuck this track. I want it so badly and it makes me feel super weird.
