Two years ago, I learned that a student at the high school a mile away from mine produced music.
earlier this year, I saw him DJ live at a local event center.
A few days ago I discovered he has two tracks on the EDM.net soundcloud, one for electro and one for DnB.
He works at the local Office Depot though Ive never spoken to him.
We have mutual friends irl.
I'm trying to contact him, but he no respond.

I let him know about all the connections we have and mutual frinds, but he no reply to anything. :/
I'd love to see his "studio" and see how he does things in it.

Seems that whenever I write something it's 3 months to get into the right mood and acquire some new techniques to try and about 3 hours to actually write something. I'm not very efficient :V

Is it sad that my ancient ... 3rd or 4th gen (I think) iPod Classic is waaaay faster than my fancy 7th gen (last one) iPod Classic, and also breaks less easily? I mean, my 7th has had more issues in 2 years than my 3rd/4th has had in 8+ years I think. The worst is that the 7th has the huge 160GB hard-drive ;3; the 3rd/4th has a 20GB one.

Anyone got any recommendations for an mp3 player (or something that plays mp3) that fits in my pocket, has a big capacity and is compatible with Windows 64bit?

music isnt about being proficient though, its more about being effective.
Id rather listen to music from an artist when he effectively makes music far and wide instead of a lot of songs from his efficient music making skills that are not quite as good as the ^^^^ effective music.

Nah, I'd buy a new iPod Classic 7th gen in an eyeblink. Purely because 160GB. No, it's Apple themselves who stopped producing the iPod Classic altogether. I even read somewhere that their parts (in particular, guess what, that 160GB hard drive), Apple doesn't have access to anymore.

Literally over-night, I became an admin on a music group and am discussing "big-boy" stuff with a bunch of people.
The idea for my "toast-beard" would be monthly instead of weekly (mostly because some admins complained about it being oo short doing it weekly even I know the actual toast beard did it weekly and worked fine.)
I was invited to the group via facebook and it is called "master producers" so at first I thought that it would be a bunch of producers who are good at producing and that I myself would be kind of one of the low ranks in the group.
Turns out that like any other group, there was a decent amount of just spam and loser comments that provided nothing for the group.
So I did my fair share of "thats not cool" here and there and also did my absolute best to provide a lot of feedback and be welcoming to newer-than-me people (even though I am still new myself) and the admins noticed that. Then I proposed the "toast beard" idea and suddenly im an admin.
it happened really fast actually.
so we are discussing things and I dislike the fact that I am the admin of a facebook page rather than a forum.
the facebook page is very limiting in many ways.
posting to the group about your WIP takes a lot of space on the page since we have multiple hundred people.
Then posting to the page, some people might be doing it for just plays on their SC or YT.
so we have to make rules and regulations about it.
Posting introductions also take a decent amount of space on the page since a lot of artists (including myself) are doing it. as far as I know, there isnt any complaints about it yet though.
Then there is the posts about helpful advice when producing music, or the post about questions when producing music. These posts which are informational or inquisitive are drowned by various other posts.

So, the reason I dislike the FB page I am an admin for is that its kind of cluttered a little.
I'd rather take the same page and move all its people onto a forum so it could be organized and then reserve the FB page for spotlights, and albums from the "Master Producers" community.

but anyway, I just felt like sharing my experience a little to see if any other admin type people would have something to say about this.
Like, do you like being an admin here? would you rather be admin for a FB group or an entire forum?
etc stuff like that.

I'd also like to know the downfalls of forums. I just posted about FB group downfalls but I'm not really completely aware of forum downfalls even though I've been on here for almost 2 years now.

See if you really want to be sucked into a group that you're not sure you want to be a part of. Groups aren't all they are cracked up to be and i see how much spam goes through Mane Music or other larger skype conversations and i find it highly annoying. Definitely don't run a FB page or even a forum unless you believe in what you are trying to achieve and want to put in the work to get it to be what you want. Way too many push for something to be formed and then disappear as soon as it takes work to achieve it or it doesn't last fo rmore than a month or two until people move on to something else.

In this case, we are actually pretty hard core preening the spam. It's nice. We have about 7 admins doing this and we just kind of message the admin group to let other admins know what's up. And then we quickly decide what to do. It's kind of fun really.

It's weird how you can find bronies in all sorts of places.
Like in my admin circle.
I'm just asking their opinions of fandom music. I mention Zelda, dr. Who, adventure time and then mlp as the fourth. (To make it seem as though it's not very important to me but that I know about it.)
Then one of the admins is like, I know a cool mlp sampled song. It's by aftermath.
So yea. That's literally how that conversation ended too. Because I said I knew of the artist and that the said artist goes by a new name in the label wolfbeats.

I am inky kind of excited though because this other admin is someone I actually know irl. And so yea. We are actual friends. I'm not sure if he just liked the song or if brony. I hope he is brony. I need someone to fan-girl with a little.
