Me and a friend are trying to start a band with me as the electronic half and a couple other people on the instrumental side. We're gonna try make a few preliminary covers to get used to working together.

Right. What you're supposed to do is make one bar of drums, then one bar of bass, then the melody, any extra sounds, and then you sing the first word.
Then you move to a second bar and repeat.

Trying out my metal, vocal, and lyrical skills.
This is the first verse and first refrain... basically as far as I've gotten :I
I didn't do put to much effort into the recording part, since I just wanted to hear how the lyrics worked, and check what works with effects and such.
It's got a lot of eq and reverb, and a bit of overdrive, and pitch correction :I, and the 2nd half is layered with a pitched down copy :O

If you want to know the lyrics, they are in Swedish... Cause I thought it was easier to write, cause native language :/ and I was inspired by the Swedish band Raubtier (such manly voice omg)

I recorded my minibrute into Ableton, distorted it with Ohmicide and cut it into the pattern in this. Kinda proud of it so far, I only used one instance of massive and other than that it's just minibrute and drum samples.

I took a short polka loop I made a while ago, and recorded it on my new MS-20 mini. All the sounds are created with the MS-20 mini and recorded straight into mah computer... obviously one at a time since it's a monophonic synth. Then mixed in fl with a few reverbs and eqs.

Anyone heard of Reizoko Cj? A mashcore artist with a pretty cool style. I'm trying out his style for a change, well... not exactly. My sample liberary sounds pretty different from his... Mainly I have verry few J-core samples, and maybe a few more ponyrelated samples.
It's pretty similar to stuff I've done before, except it's way more samples... It's easy as hell, and stupid as a dumb thing... It's pretty darn fun though!

I'd definitely recommend moving on from the chords you're using. It got repetitive pretty fast...
Also I suggest spending some more time working on your sound design for the last portion of it as it comes across rather 'random'
It would imply that you're using presets.

Here's the piece I'm working on. I joined a group of ruffians who are working on Beyond Skyrim. I was tasked with creating a small trailer piece with a melody based on the Dovahkiin theme. Anyways, I'm interested in hearing suggestions regarding instrumentation.

I think the instrumentation is on spot, it really has that Skyrim vibe and it surely sounds as a trailer, but i think it needs a bigger ending after all what happens in the middle. The mix is pretty good, nice job :3
