So I've gotten out of the habit of constantly raising the volume. Ever since I was at Monster Jam a few weeks ago I've been more aware of my hearing, and how loud is pleasant. I still don't think there is such a thing as too loud when it comes to alot of music though...
Anyway, after a few weeks of not constantly bombarding my ears with loud noises I actually noticed a clear difference in the clarity of my hearing. I heard way more overtones in the timpani today than I remember ever hearing before. (It might be the timpani being different... but I'm still gonna say it's my hearing... thats probably the best)

Well, yes... not bombarding your ears will generally help your hearing, both in the short term and in the long term.

"Louder sounds better" is one of the more important things that I have learned in the past couple of years. It does not mean to turn up your stuff as loud as you can get it. What it means, at least for me, is to be cautious on how your plugins effect your volume. When I add a compressor to something, usually turn it off and on a few times to make sure that the volume is not being affected. Then I can evaluate it more properly.

As far as "too loud" goes. The loudness wars are an ongoing issue. Some producers/labels want their music as loud as possible so it will sell better. Other people prefer to have more dynamics in their music. I personally lean toward the dynamics. When I master my music, I try not to limit it too much.

I'm definitely not that patient... And since I'm not that interested in releasing music anymore I don't mind.

I was writing about how loud you tiurn up the amp though. I definitely want dynamics though, making it louder is what we have good amplifiers for :3

So today after finishing up at uni I stayed behind to finish an assignment instead of going straight home. About 15 minutes later it starts hailing stones about the size of pool balls for a solid 10-15 minutes with winds blowing hard enough to snap trees and force fog through the street outside my uni and after it stormed for 20 minutes. All the trains got shut down and I was stuck in town for 4 hours. A lot of the roads and bus tunnels got flooded too so the bus going to Roma Street (about 10 minutes from where I was) took an hour. I'm freaking exhausted.

I wound do this except I always get my comics through Ibooks. And I usually get the comics in sets of threes of fours depending on how many are released since I last get them. I don't have money but sometimes I do and get them.like that.

I'm so sick and tired of mass media and the race card.
"white cop shoots black unarmed guy" and everyone says that's racist and the media is all up in it and everyone is hit and bothered.
But when a black cop shoots a white man, nobody gets overly hot and bothered. Media doesn't do anything. It's under the table.

Reality is, it should be POLICE OFFICER SHOOYS UNARMED TEEN.
No need to throw any race or color in there. That's not the real matter of the issue.
But people somehow turn it into the issue.

I hate the stupid media doing this.
It's like how nobody likes the modern feminists.
I don't like THIS.
I'm just not sure what to call it.

I also am going to a conference in about a week in Denver. It's three days long and I'll be staying in like a 5 star hotel. Cool

Nobody would start a major protest if a black cop shot a white teenager because they wouldn't need to. If that happened, the officer would be guaranteed to face some sort of justice, or at the very least, would be indicted ffs. Nobody needs to start mass protests just to get justice in those cases. And don't pretend that this is a stand-alone incident, because you know very well it's not.
