I wanna see your adorable and cool pets!

These are my cats, Kaylee and Inara. (Kaylee's the first) They're cute and fuzzy, but can be a handful at times. Nevertheless, I love them with all my heart and wouldn't trade them for the world.

I want a cat or dog, but unfortunately my mom is like really allergic to them. Like almost deathly allergic if she spends too much time around them.

That's why i'm getting one when I move out. If I can fit one into my budget and stuff.

I only have a link for one of my dogs. So this is my Australian Silkie Terrier, Jordi. I have 2 border collies, one male, one female named Ringo (male) and Kirra (female). Ringo is an australian sub-breed of border collie, so he's a lot leaner and lighter than Kirra, who's a scottish border which are a heavier breed. Kirra's actually had some issues with being overweight because she lorded over the food, but we've gotten her to a pretty healthy weight by monitoring feeding time.

Anyway the photo I linked is actually from the night before I moved outta home. While I was studying in the lounge room she snuck into my room and curled up on my dressing gown.

As for past pets, I had a mini fox terrier and 2 sheep dogs when I was younger, but they died. The fox terrier was nearly blind and she ended up falling asleep right behind one of the tires of our car and when we went to go out for dinner...yeah. And the other's were natural causes.

This is ma kitty! :3 His name is Jack. He's as old as I am. My family got him when I was an infant. No, literally. An infant. I've grown up with him, basically.

I also have a dog, may post later.

I'm allergic to like every animal so we just have fish. One of which was from a game I won at a carnival and I got him 8 months ago and the fish is still here.

There is a cat asleep on my lap making adorable sleeping noises, I wish I could take a picture but I don't have a camera! I'll try to scrounge my hard drive and see if I can't find some pictures of my family's cats somewhere, maybe even some of the members of my sister's managerie...

EDIT: The only picture I could find was one of our cat CJ looking angry, so...

She's VERY fat! and grumpy a lot, but still strangely endearing and adorable in her own right.

Sorry bout the thread revive, but my family just got two kittens today! They're twins and their names are Max (left) and Mini (right).



You cant tell in the pic, but they're pretty much mirror images of each other. While Max has a white splodge on the right side of his face, Mini has a white splodge on her left. Poor Mini almost lost her eye due to an ulcer she got on it when she had the cat flu, and the Vet thought it would have to be removed but it fully healed and they're both healthy little kittens :3

Now that your a father you need to take on a few responsibilities. You need to take care of your kittys, at all costs. If that means leaving an important meeting because your kitty has a piano recital, then so be it! Your kittys MUST come first in every aspect of life. But you mustn't spoil them too much. You need to lead them through life, set a good example... And when they are old enouh, it's your responsibility to have 'The talk' with them, don't forget that!
Anyway... SO CUTE!!! I wish you luck in your crusades of kitty parenthood!

Cats tend to be fairly solitary animals and a companionship with their owner is all they often need. Sometimes they enjoy the extra company but it's not a big requirement. :)

If you're looking to have more than one cat, it's important to give them ample room to avoid each other if that's what they want. They may occasionally want to socialize with each other, but cats being solitary creatures, they are most comfortable when they have an escape route, which allows them to get away and be alone for a bit.
