Ok, so we all knew an episode about Sweetie Bell's magic abilities would be coming up, we just didn't know when. But, here it is. Or so it seems in the very beginning. It seems very much like another episode about the CMC working to try and get their cutie marks.

Haha, 2:07, did they really just make a weed reference? Or is "layin' it on a little thick there aren't we pal" a reference to something else?

Diamond Tiara might be a total bitch, but the whole acrobatic butler thing was hilarious.

I'm pretty sure that was just a way of Sweetie Belle saying "yeah, okay, you've made your point already, dumb plant. It wasn't that bad."

My thoughts: WOW, that was a really good episode! I’m sure people will complain a bunch about Twilight’s changing role and personality in the show but I’m personally fine with it, and I’m really glad to see an episode that acknowledges the fact that she’s a princess, even if it’s only because the plot is explicitly built around it. Also the fact that an absurdly large number of people seem to universally hate CMC-centric episodes, whereas I can't get enough of them. Also, people hate Spike. I'll never understand it.

I wish that the message of the episode had instead been "don't coddle others just because they seem small/weak." I was waiting for Seabreeze to prove that it was possible for the breezies to make it on their own, and Fluttershy would have been at fault for coddling them. I think that would have fit better, because the leaf thing was a little farfetched. How can these creatures be that helpless?

Obviously, there are 6 holes and 6 main characters. Each will contribute something.

Idk about what all of them will contribute yet, but this is my idea so far:

Somehow, rarity will use the rainbow thread she got as her key. If you noticed, the end of the episode showed the thread with slight emphasis. I think it's important.
And fluttershy will use the flower given to her by the breezies. That also had a slight emphasis on it.

Idk about the rest yet

Woah, it's been a while since I bothered posting on here. I guess the new site design was not a big enough turnoff to drive me away for long... meh

But regardless, Breezies have adorable design, love their little faces. They probably felt the voice pitching necessary, and to an extent it was (can you imagine them all speaking with a deep baritone?), but I wish it wasn't because it was really hit-or-miss.

Speaking of Seabreeze though, I love his design to death. Those colors are just so great together.

Although, catering to my find-at-least-one-thing-that's-offensive-per-episode sense, it seems just a liiiittle bit suspicious that Seabreeze is male while also having a short temper with a light flavoring of intense shaming of fellow breezies

He's still cute though, so I'll give him a pass this one time.

Now, as for the mane six turning Breezie... its all a marketing ploy so habsro can produce breezie mane six toys for ludicrous amounts of cash

But other than a couple of "srsly" moments, this episode was mostly about how cute small things are, and they were cute enough for 10/10 would watch seven more times today.

Being german myself i can assure you that wasn't german. It sounded a little bit like a scandinavian language to me. Any scandinavians here to prove me wrong?

I thought the language sounded like one Rolf from Ed, Edd, n Eddy would have spoken. Their accents seemed similar.

It's certainly no single Germanic Language. Some lexemes seem to resemble their Dutch cognates, others seem more Scandinavian, and still others resemble Scots. The parts of the language that sound Germanic are definitely from somewhere in the North Sea. But then, at other times, Seabreeze in particular seems to be speaking Finnish, which isn't even Indo-European.

Some phrases I've picked out:

"Moegle di sarked us?"
Speakers of most Germanic languages will recognize a lot of this, actually. "Moegle is clearly cognate to "mögen" in German, which means, "can." "Di" and "us" are clearly "you" and "us." "Sarked" seems to be the second person form of "sark," which would seem cognate to "search." I imagine morphological shifting led "search" to mean "understand."

"Mijr fargen."
I say "Mijr," here, because I think "fargen" is a verb meaning "forgive" or "pardon," which takes a dative object, and "mir" is the dative first person.

"Mer lanke?"
"Mer" obviously means more. "Lanke" seems to mean water, but I can't figure out what it's cognate to at all. A lot of the lexicon seems made up even if a lot of the grammar is distinctly Germanic.

I really didn't enjoy this episode at all until the swamp scene. Like, AJ was actively unenjoyable for me. If it weren't for the Chimera, and the Hayseed Swamp/Hollow Shades(?) bit at the end, this would have been one of the worst episodes in the series for me.

Being german myself i can assure you that wasn't german. It sounded a little bit like a scandinavian language to me. Any scandinavians here to prove me wrong?

It's not Norwegian, and it doesn't sound like Swedish either. I'm leaning towards Gaelic.
