Just post the large picture in a spoiler and say: "this picture is really huge" and everything should be fine.
Alternatively you can write:

Warning large picture ahead!
Large pictures might cause but is not limited to causing: Claustrofobia, dizzines, illnesses, headache, sudden urge to itch ones right ear, page stretching in its deadliest form and the infamous "lemonade plague".
I, ChocplateChicken and MLR with it's afflicted members are not responisble for any damaged caused by the large image.

You need to use a variable for the spoiler to work (ex [spoiler=Spooooiler][*spoiler*])
And you still need to surround it with the image tag to not make the forum think it's just text ^^
