Well, the thing is that my studio is stuff that I had money to spend on. The only way I can really get money on my steam account is through the gift cards (since I don't think my parents would be willing to connect my bank account and my paypal has zero on it right now)

It's still better than quite a few people's setups here, haha. I'm going to end up spending close to 8 times the amount I spent on this studio, on my next studio setup.

Technically you could play any game, with the only thing that you could be concerned about is playing them on max settings.

Alan Wake - seems interesting
Dark Souls - already plan on getting it
Civilization V - im not much of a strategy guy

Metro 2033 and Last Light - i was thinking about getting it
Fallout 3 - have it it hangs and crashes constantly :/
Borderlands 1 and 2 - own both almost done with second play through on the second one
Skyrim - installing it now actually

League of Legends - i dislike this game
Destiny (not released yet) - isnt that a xbone and ps4 exclusive?

Yeah, I guess you're right about Destiny. Damn, it looks good too.

With those specs you should be able to play most all games at med-high settings depending on how "hi-tech" the game is. I don't want to be a cunt when I say this so I'll put this as white text and hope you don't see it, and that if you do you don't take much offense to it, but you could have built a better system with the $600-750(?) budget I'm assuming you had.

Good lord. I want to play skyrim but I refuse to play games like skyrim without volume up, and I had a migraine so bad I thought I would pass out or throw up earlier today. Stuck playing WoW with no volume until my now minor headache goes away. I got very little music stuff done as well. /sigh #firstworldproblems

Wait, you can't play WoW on your comp because it's so awful? Jesus man. Listen, if you ever want to build a new computer, talk to me and I can get you a parts list for as low as $355 that can play WoW at about medium settings, probably higher. As long as you have peripherals and an OS ($460 minimum with OS), that is.

But srsly. The game's pretty fun to play, leveling up a tank in full heirloom. Just chainpull entire dungeons, haha. I... AM... UNSTOPPABLE

Cool. I've heard Witcher 2 is great, but I've never played it. I'm a big fan of the Souls series though, so it's always nice to see someone else giving it a try. I hope ya like it as much as I did!

I've not played the PC version, but I've heard the port is pretty terrible in a lot of ways, and they say it's definitely recommended that you use a console controller. A PS3 controller should work as well if you have one laying around, which can be easier because the cable they already come with can be used to plug into PC.. Though you would probably have to use a program like MotioninJoy or whatever to get the game to recognize it as an xbox controller.
