The Wonderbolts

Postby LunchBagMusic » 20 Dec 2011 04:54

Here it is. My second pony piece. I'm surprised at how short this one turned out to be. I reckon if I pushed myself I could make it hit five minutes, but this is the first of my compositions that has hit under 4:00. But length isn't important (heh heh heh).

This piece characterises the Wonderbolts and their typical style, entering bodly, climing and falling in a rhythmical but slightly unpredictable nature. The ending is something I'm not completely happy with, but I am pleased with it as a whole. Any tips to make an ending seem...larger would be welcomed.

Any critique is encouraged. Enjoy.

(And before you ask, I'm hoping to upgrade my soundsets in the next month or so)

Okay, so this is neat. I particularly love the part after 1:40 and how well everything fits with the rhythm section. Strangely, this makes me wish I had the skills to remix the hay out of this. Great job, I'm looking forward to your next pieces !

A bit. I guess I started about a year ago now, but I'm only 3 months with pony.

I've only just started to finish pieces, now. I start something, then I never finish it. My music folder has like 60 incomplete scores that I'm never going to finish... I should probably clean it out.

Yeah my Garageband folder has a lot of songs that are unfinished too. Plus they have really random names like orange or clarforb.

Wow, that was really good. I like how it had a sort of "toony" Orchestrated feel, it really suited them. I could visualize the Wonderbolts doing a performance to this. It was very dynamic and shifted well, which I like. Great work, keep it up! =)
Still searchin'.
