Ahh I was curious as to how big the USB's were, I figured since they're MLP USB's that they wouldn't be fairly big, I was right, sadly..

Well, there are options for bigger ones. 8gb was the smallest and least expensive. Maybe some of us could chip in for one with more space? I would be willing to.

I would definitely help chip in for a bigger one if needed.

8 GB should be more than enough space, honestly, as long as people are limited to a certain amount of space per person. If like, what, 50 people were to be doing this, each person should get about 150 MB. That's...a lot of space, yo. Especially if everyone was going to just put a song and a photo and a something or other.

i have an idea what if everyone put in a song (one song) and at the end an album is made with those songs
then like only the participants can listen to stuff before its released :o

Sonarch wrote:-Put pictures of our faces on it

These be good idea's yo. And I little more purposeful than just a face when there's a thread for that.

Only problem I can think of is whoever has to assemble the sound pieces by the end of it would be in for a hell of a job.

Pretty awesome idea though

I'm imagining it somewhat like how that remix war intermission thing went, so if we end up doing it in that fashion, we'd at least have a system already in place for it. I guess it would still be kinda tough though...

Oh yeah, it would be better if it was ongoing. I forgot about that for a moment.

Every year whoever has it could upload the current mix to youtube and eventually it would be one of those ten hour videos except it wouldn't be repetitive how great would that be

Alright, so I accidentally said something that has multiple meanings (1. the USB gets to every member of MLR, and thus sees their face (my intention), 2. everyone puts their face on the USB (not my idea)).

I'll talk with Abby later to think up some rules for what can be put on.

And if I can get myself more money (DAMNIT PARENTS), I might consider a bigger USB.

Oh. I didn't get that part. So maybe not pictures of all of our faces then.
But we still have the music bit and the pictures of the drive in various locations, amirite

twi

Here is an idea, instead of doing a super collab (which could get very crazy) we do a stream of remixes.

Here is how it would work.

One person would write a song, preferably with lyrics. When they are done, the put the midi file and the stems and an instrumental onto the flash drive.

When the next person receives the flash drive, they will remix and/or cover the song. When they send out the flash drive they will add their midi file, stems (if they covered it) and an instrumental.

If space becomes an issue, then they can simply post a file containing a secret link to the stems, midi and instrumental.

Rules:
1. You may not share your remix and instrumental files publicly.
2. You do not have to finish your song before sending the flash drive again. (Just give us what you have.)
3. When you publish your song, give credit to the person before you.

On a different note (pun slightly intended): Will there be a way to update our information? My address will probably change in the next month or so, and might change a few times over the next year.
