I like trap just fine (as with most genres; I'm one of the most musically diverse people I know), though I've never attempted to make it. That said, I don't see why I couldn't try. I would be down for this if it happened.

Yeah I don't really have any experience with trap but I bet this would be a good learning experience.

I love trap. I've been practicing quite a few genres recently (Mostly Moombahton and trap), but I enjoy trap.

Sweet! It seems like everyone's in the same boat as I am. I've never made a trap song, but I do love listening to it. Let's all lose our trap virginity! It'll be messy and weird for all of us.

BTW, Ocular (can I call you Oki?), I can help point you in the right direction with getting dirtier sounding wobbles if you're still looking for advice.

I'd maybe participate, depending on when the deadline is and how I'm feeling and whatever. Like the others, I've never made it before though, and I doubt my normal style/skillset really suits something as stripped-down as trap, though.

Welp, we're sorted.

I'm partway through a trap/electro/dubstep hybrid right now for a Milkmare of Trottingham track. Not going to be too filthy (well the unlisted pmv might) but if i can use it for this (technically its a ponified cover) then i might be game for doing so. Are these project downloads normally free or pay what you want? If this is trap we may be lookign for a more adult theme then a traditional album....its a bit harder to make trap music that's pony themed if that's what we have in mind.

FYI "In 2012, new styles and developments of electronic music which incorporated elements of trap music began gaining popularity, especially online. These styles infused elements from house, hardstyle, dubstep, drumstep, drum and bass, moombahton, oldschool jungle and various electronic dance music genres with trap music's typical distinguishing features. Electronic producers, such as Diplo, Yellow Claw, TNGHT, Baauer and Flosstradamus, RL Grime, expanded the popularity of these developments of trap music, gaining the attention of electronic music fans. Labeled as the "new dubstep" or the "new moombahton", trap music continues to expand its popularity. The music was initially dubbed simply as "trap" by producers and fans, which led to the term "trap" being used to address the music of both rappers and electronic producers, to much confusion among followers of both." so keep in mind that we might be all over the place style wise depending on how people come at it (hip hop style or very dubstep-ish).

Looks like Trap will officially need to be added to BMD even though there's only a few track so far. ;)

What would your editorial policy be on witch house-influenced trap?

As long as it's got a definite trap feel, it's all good. As far as a deadline, I don't know yet, but it looks like there's some interest in this, so I'll try and get some guidelines hammered out tomorrow. Good deal!

Huh... Really? I had no idea trap had become popular, let alone something that isn't only really obnoxious and repetitive hi-hat rolls. Can someone link me to this 'new' trap music?

Also, I rap and might spit to someone's beat for this album if they want to collab and shit.
I'm a Hip Hop MC and (kind of) a producer too.
