coloUrs and friendship [Album]

About coloUrs and friendship:
"coloUrs and friendship" is an album parody of the homestuck album "http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/album/colours-and-mayhem-universe-b".
I thought we could make a similar kind of album for MLP:FiM, but for now we are only 7 people for the mane six + spike.
We would need more people for the "~~ADDITIONAL FRIENDSHIP~~ " part of the album! (see ~~ADDITIONAL MAYHEM~~ on the homestuck album)

The Rules for this album:
1. The song should be about a background character or just something in the MLP:FiM universe except the mane six and spike.
2. Genre can be anything, it should just fit the character/thing.
3. Do not use over-used samples from the show, unless it can be used in a fitting manner.
4. Songs can be any length, but try to keep it under ten minutes.
5. You may submit as many songs as you like, but they must be original. (No Remix, please)

TO SUBMIT A TRACK, SEND THE SONG TO [email protected]
Please include your Artist name and a link to an account you want to be associated with! (youtube, soundcloud,...)

There is a limit of 20 songs and the album will be free on bandcamp when it's finished.

About the judging:
Once the song is submitted, several people will hear it and rate it on originality, uniqueness and how good it fits the character/thing. Then I will play it to non-bronies and see if they enjoy it. Judges will not know the artist of the song, this will keep it unbiased.

The deadline to submit your song is July 22!

The release of the album will be one week later!

The only thing I can see that might be a problem is that you set the final submission date only about two months away... for a song, that's not all that long.

Mind if I do an electro-industrial/aggrotech/hellektro song for this? I'm thinking I wont do a track for Rainbow and Rooted, so might as well not waste musical inpsiration.

Sure, go ahead!
Just find something that would fit the theme of the song, for electro-industrial/aggrotech/hellektro you could for example make a theme for the Rainbow Factory or maybe the Shadowbolts! (it should be a theme song for a background character, a place or anything except the mane six + spike)

Don't listen to any music in the genre of the track you're producing in the period you're actually producing it. It'll help you to not get stuck on melodies from other songs.
