LGBTQ Charity Album: Right to The Point

WHAT IT IS: This is to be a charity album for The Point Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping out LGBTQ students "...to achieve their full academic and leadership potential – despite the obstacles often put before them – to make a significant impact on society."
DUE DATE: Due date is December 26th, but if we need to adjust it, we will. Planned release date is January 5th.
MONEY: It will be free, but donations will be accepted.
GENRES: As long as it isn't ear-splitting or inappropriate, anything!
EFFECT: Help out The Point Foundation!

Right to The Point will be a charity album to benefit The Point Foundation, a charity all about helping out LGBTQ students and making sure that, even in the face of hatred, they can get a good education and not fail.

I came up with this idea after coming back from Bronycon, wondering how I could help, seeing as how Circuitfry and Aussie did a wonderful thing by sending wonderful musicians that couldn't otherwise go over to Bronycon. I don't recall having seen someone do an album to help out LGBTQ people, so I figured I'd start something for that, and after asking around and getting positive feedback, I decided to go ahead!

FAQ:
FAQ wrote:How do I get in?: Just reply to this thread saying you'd like to do a song! We'll keep track of who's submitting so we can make sure that the level of artists isn't over-bearing.
What kind of music can I make for this? What is the theme?: As long as it's not noise, drone, or ear-splitting (anything along those lines, ambient works fine though), it can be accepted! Make it positive, feel good vibes! Make it happy! However, we do have exceptions...
Like what?: If you're going to have lyrics, we'd like to ask that swearing or any kind of graphic content be kept to a minimum. If your song is poorly mixed, we'll ask if you can make it better (there is leeway between due date and planned release album date). If not, it won't be accepted. If you're remixing someone else's song, please ask them if they're fine with having it on the album. We are doing some kind of quality control here! And if it's noise, or drone, or ear-splitting, we're not allowing that. (Yes, there can be happy (relatively happy) metal.)
Do you have a Facebook page set up for it?: Why, yes we do. It can be found by clicking here.
How many songs can I submit?: Only one please! You can make two for this project if you want, but you should decide on one (collabs don't count; if you make one, and collab on a song with someone, that's totally fine! Just don't overdo it.)

So if you guys wanna participate, let's get started! I know it's kind of barebones now, but I'm trying to build on it and help expand it.

Question for you guys: Should I have a set limit of musicians to do this, or should I let anyone make a song and submit it if they want? I don't expect many people to do this, but I don't want people to feel left out.

I have a couple of questions. What does the "Q" stand for? Also, are LGBT people actually discriminated against, education-wise?

1) The Q stands for "Queer".

2) I've seen stuff like this happen in my own school. You can't go to prom, particular guidance counselors won't help you, or try to dissuade you into religious beliefs, there's bullying, and if it's a particular college, there might be an off-chance you'll be talked to or expelled if they make up some bullshit to cover the fact (my Christian sister told me how a friend of hers experienced that).

Nothing earsplitting? Awwww... I was going to make brostep. :(

I guess I'll stick to something more mellow. Maybe a piano and vocal only song (cover of something else)? Liquid DnB? House music?

I'll think of something.

Brostep is fine, but I'd rather not have it be abrasive or the like. That kind certainly exists (Porter Robinson).

I was thinking of doing some Datsik or Excision style stuff (minus the drugs and ocassional profanity).

However, that style has some really robotics noises in it, and pretty muh sounds like Megatron puking inside of a broken factory. Im still worried that it would be too abrasive.

I'm very new to this, so I'm not sure if it'd be a good idea to join in, but it's a cause I really want to help support, being bisexual myself.

I think i may do a cover of Electric Six - Gay Bar. Will see if i have the time and passion to actually makes this happen tho. Would rather not have this be another event i don't actually complete the track i intended to.
