Noise.Horse: An Experimental Pony Music Label

WELCOME TO NOISE.HORSE

Image

Noise.horse is a record label for experimental and unconventional music based upon and influenced by My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

The Brony Music Scene is at an all time high. We are attracting the talent of so many people into our fandom. We want to feature and promote the exploration of music and sound within the fandom.

So, let's break it down to the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How:

WHO?

Noise.horse will primarily be ran by me, Kakofonous A. Dischord. I have been a part of the Brony community for about four years now. My first contribution to the fandom was a track for 2014's edition of Pinkamena Party. I have continued to contribute to PP and have continued to improve my sound ever since. I have wanted to contribute to the fandom beyond just a few songs here and there, and I hope noise.horse can be that contribution.

Who else? You, of course! We need folks like you who love music and love ponies!

WHAT?

Noise.horse is a collaborative project that never ends nor has a due date. We are a music label, that publishes experimental music. As a label, ar tists can send in their work for evaluation and (if accepted) promotion at anytime!

We are not looking for specific genres, per se. We are looking for Experimentors. We want to hear you take pony music to new places and expand the horizons of what horse music can be. While we encourage you to delve into more obscure and underground genres, we would also like to encourage exploring genres that are rarely used in pony, fusion genres, or working without a genre in mind. Step outside of the confines of the mainstream sound and create something entirely new.

On top of that, we are not looking for the very best of the best. We are not looking for the cleanest, most perfect production. We are looking for your best and most original stuff. Everybody should have a chance at being heard. Even so, we do have some quality standards, so please bring your A game!

To sum it up, we want to hear you: Experiment. Break the Rules. Do it Wrong.

WHEN?

Anytime! As a label, noise.horse doesn't have a due date like many other collaborative projects that the Brony Fandom has created. Whenever you have an experimental album or song that you would like us to consider releasing on noise.horse, send it in! Once we evaluate it, we will let you know and take you through the release process to be uploaded to our Bandcamp and YouTube outlets.

We also have plans to perform compilations that will have due dates on top of our any-time album submissions. These compilations will encourage the production of a particular theme or genre and will have a three month working period. Our first Compilation will be announced at some point in the near future.

WHERE?

As mentioned above, our main outlets will be though Bandcamp (http://noisehorse.bandcamp.com) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXit2U6bGZO-qvPbT_WiBjg). We might consider a Soundcloud if the demand is high enough.

News will be spread on a Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/noisehorse) and a Tumblr blog, which acts as our main website, (http://noise.horse/).

We also have a Discord server so we can come together to discuss the label and help each other out! Join it here: https://discord.gg/kAUKyph.

If you have suggestions on other media outlets, please let us know!

To submit music to noise.horse, use the Submit function on our Tumblr or send us an email at [email protected].

WHY?
We hope to inspire people to experiment and try something different with this project. Many experimental artists don’t get heard due to the nature of their music. The main goal of noise.horse to to create a place where these kinds of musicians can get together and they can help promote each other!

We also believe that many non-experimental artists have experimental ideas, but don't want to put that sort of sound next to their more traditional and mainstream work. One of the goals of noise.horse it to open up a portal for those artists to share their experimental work.

TL;DR: 1. Make experimental pony music 2. Send it to us 3. ????? 4. Party!

The Future
In the future, we would like to see the creation of high qualitly physical releases on cassette and possibly vinyl. We are also interested in working with brony internet radio stations to promote the music released on noise.horse. We have plans to discuss with various radio stations to see if they would allow us a monthly time-slot to promote our music.

These are plans for the far future, but ones we would like to see happen with noise.horse.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them here or contact us using one of our Social Media outlets or email! Thanks!

Hey man, so sorry about this. After that thing with Redd, I was reactionary and blocked you on both of my twitter accounts. I sincerely apologize for this. After looking back on that event, I agree that it would be really weird for you to have done such things. Noise.horse is open to all and I don't want to exclude anybody from it.

Again I am sorry about this, I hope you can forgive me!
