Ponies at Dawn: Voyager Submissions Due By September 18th!

Hey guys,

In the past, Ponies at Dawn have released 8 albums with an incredible variety of music, and we’re not planning on stopping anytime soon. We’re proud to announce that we’re opening for submissions for our next album - Voyager.

After the multitude of successes we had last year, we managed to start 2016 in style with the release of our 7th and biggest yet compilation, Awakening. Full to the brim with quality tracks from all over the fandom, it was arguably our best album yet. However, we’re far from finished this year, and we’re keen to see if we can make this second major album of the year hold itself to the standards set by Awakening, if not eclipse them!

As usual, the money made by the album from donations on BandCamp will go towards the artists who make it onto the album, as thanks for the hard work put in to make the album a reality. The the album will be under the ‘pay what you want’ model, so that those who don’t wish to pay for it don’t have to. We believe that the most important part of these albums, is getting artists’ music out to as many different listeners as possible.

Submissions Due: September 18th (contact us if you need a couple of days extension)
More Information/FAQ (Please read before asking any questions, they made be answered here already): https://goo.gl/Tz5aDM

The theme for this album, as the name might help suggest, is exploration or adventure. We don’t necessarily mean in terms of trying a completely different type of music compared to what you normally make, though that’s certainly something you’re welcome to do. We encourage people to think outside the box if they think they can make something cool and different that still sounds great, but the theme here really means that we want your music to conjure up the ideas of going on an adventure to distant lands, maybe exploring a cave deep beneath the earth - the kind of thing that might get Daring Do hyped up and excited.

Does your music have to fit the theme? Because it’s such an arbitrary theme, we’re definitely not going to penalise people for not following it. This is just an initial idea to help get the creative ideas coming, and it’s very difficult to tell what does and doesn’t fit a theme considering how subjective the interpretation can be.

Release Date: TBA/October

With about 3 or 4 songs that have been in the works from me for like the last 2 years, I'll finally be able to submit something for this album, I think! I've taken a long break so I haven't been participating in the last few albums but this'll be fun, I think!

Ponies at Dawn Album Information wrote:You can release your track as soon as the album is released on BandCamp. Before that, feel free to show it privately to whomever you wish, but waiting until the album is out before a public release is required. Releasing works in progress to the public is perfectly fine.

Might want to take note of the album information that was linked to in the first post :)

Once again I'll see if I'll join in. No promises ;)

EDIT - also don't expect anything from me. I'm busy enough as is.

Hey guys! Just a month left until the close of submissions! We've gotten a few really awesome ones so far, and I'm really looking forward to what other people come up with too. :) As always feel free to let me know if you need any help or clarification with anything.

My own track's coming along pretty well too, hopefully I can finish it in time. XD

Thanks to everybody who's submitted! If anybody needs to submit a couple of days late, feel free to do that, we'll still accept them for judging, and otherwise, we'll release the tracklist once the judging's been done and it's been finalised - it's gonna be a good one, as always! :)

I feel kind of dirty doing it, but I just handed in a late submission. Hope you don't mind too much and that it's not too late yet :U
