So I feel like I could really get into small time voice acting. Like, just for fun within the brony community. Because I am actually pretty good with my voice which is something I more recently discovered about myself when talking to myself for extended hours of time like a crazy person. Look i left mainly because Makkon told us he wanted to change MLR to a general music site (complete with a non pony name change) rather than try to attract new brony musicians to the site and keep it community focused. Frankly that just wasn't the direction I wanted to go and I just didn't want to fight that out anymore .....so i left. I never stopped loving this community or the site, I just got tired of feeling like an outsider within that group and having a differing opinion from yet another guy in charge. I got tired of hearing that being a fan of mlp was a now a bad thing to many of them. I thought that was the direction the site was going when i left. So i kept doing FIMM on my own. It turns out they weren't motivated to even go that route. MLR is luckily in new hands today and not slated to be neutered of its pony center. I am very glad of that at least....

My status never changed to match my departure and I was still technically a mod for many months i still visited which was a bit annoying. Not once did kyoga or makkon want to talk to me after either and find why. Neither of them came to the my goodbye thread on mlr to at least thank me for the time spent. Now the old moderator team hands over to a bunch of new people (which I did not find out about until after the fact) and then I see they choose to deactivate my mod status. I'd be more offended if it wasn't just par for the course. I really feel like all the work i did for this site and the community was systematically swept under the table. I can't express how hurt it feels to yet again feel like I'm devalued and disrespected.

Makkon is right about MLR being an emotional rollercoaster and how it can end with a lot of hurt feelings. I really feel like filling in for months while Cfry was awol, the whole banning fiasco, and then settling in with Makkon's second tenure was just a waste of my time and energy. I guess with all the things I might not see eye to eye on I completely agree that the time spent in MLR's mod circle was more bad then good...I just wish if he didn't want to run the site and hated it so he would have handed it over years ago to people who were quite willing to do the work and already doing so.

Best of luck to MLR, I'm glad they have a new captains not asleep at the wheel this time. At least the ship is headed in the right direction finally.

Don't get me wrong, i thank Makkon for starting this forum and really getting this community started in its infancy. That's an immense undertaking and a ton of work that helped make this community what is / or was. Likewise Circuitfry made the first Balloon Party a resounding success that we've never quite matched. It's just that both of these guys got bored with their projects midway and the fandom and yet didn't hand them over. Hell it could be argued I've run BMD into the ground with no updates but its not like i don't have other projects I'm involved in that are higher priority to me. I'd hand over the reins if anyone was willing to revamp and inject new blood in that project in a sec. I just think its key that if you have a newer generation of musicians who want to be an active part of the community and lead you have to let them and enable this community to move past what it was.

I feel like your time here was more rough than smooth and I don't know if I had helped to make it rough at some point in time. I would like to apologize again if I have ever helped to make your time here less pleasant than necessary.
I know that about 1.5 years ago around the time of the death of the Official Spam Thread, I feel like I was more of an annoying character here on mlr. And I was probably really annoying a long time before that too. So, now, being a little older and a little wiser, I hope that you might be able to accept my apology for being a part of what was a large mess.

I guess the world keeps on turning. Change is inevitable. How we deal with change is where MLR, or anything for that matter, will find its value. Make a choice and move with it.

And Freewave, I laughed at your BMD bit. Sounds exactly the same man :P basically, other stuff became more important to you. And it's okay :P

I can confirm that BMD is still being worked on, so I guess you can submit to them.

I'm going to TRY to do 4 posts a week until its caught up. But since I really have no staff for BMD anymore (just Lore and I and he's been very busy with school) it's really fallen on the backburner this year. I'm not kidding when i say i'd love it if some people really wanted to give it another shot at life and take over the reins. Hell I wouldn't mind a bit more active help on FIMM if anyone wanted to add any regular features of weekly spotlights for community tracks. It's work but it's what is needed to keep both sites running. If there's a demand for keeping them going of course. Often I'm not sure if it's still worth the time and if people really support either. Will see. Support is a 2 way street.

Well, MLR almost shut down. but got new owners (PonyvilleFM) almost as soon as the shut down was announced, Makkon and most of the old mod team has stepped down. Otherwise nothing major happened.

Not sure if it would be the same for me, I have some IRL friends who also do music, so I my stuff (if I release anything) may get heard by someone who isn't me. Still, I check this site rather frequently so I am glad that it is still up, I just hope that our new overlords will steer the site in the right direction

I think that I could set aside some time to strategize some regular posting I could do for FiMMusic. After all I've wanted to contribute for a while, instead of just being background fodder. I'll think something up.

You'd be surprised. There's close to no difference between time I got to spend in holidays and non-holidays.

I technically have less time in the summer than I do during school. This is because I work from 8-5 but I only go to school 8-3. The difference is that school also brings homework and there are the after school activities I do. Like today, I was at school from 7:30 in the morning to 9 at night. (13.5 hours)
I have no homework in the summer. And no after school activities. So I'll be able to spend a few hours each week easily on bmd.

Actually, hey freewave. Can you pm me and describe what I might be doing on bmd if I actually took on some responsibility.
