Last night I spent about 3 hours planning out how I was gonna do my songwriting assignment today (plus a 1000+ word analysis of it). Guess it worked, because I had it done in 4 hours with time to see Guardians of The Galaxy and then get some things finalized for my mixing task. Turns put I'm kind of a machine at this stuff when I approach it right.


...I'm gonna go play skyrim for the rest of the night though..I did all 12 hours of this on 3 hours of sleep, I wanna go stop yoosing me brayn

So school started already. What happened to Summer?

We're in the middle of August. That's when school usually starts, isn't it?
Although my school starts for real the 1st of September. Before that it's gonna be some kind of welcoming period, with parties and activities... for 2 weeks... I'm really hyped for that.

Sadly I'm probably gonna miss pretty much all the big forum events because of it :/ I'll probably miss both the Remix war stream and the Academy of Booty stream :'(

I did. Seriously, I searched "buffalo wings" and that was, like, the second or third result.

As for me actually contributing to this thread (other than wing delivery,) I managed to find Sonic 3 & Knuckles drum samples, so yeah. Good news, I can start doing legitimate Sonic-style Genesis/MD stuff. Bad news, the snare sounds kinda off and I can't find the right pitch for it. (They pitched the samples way up in the game compared to how they originally are, if you're asking why.)

So porter Robinson released a debut album quite recently. And he is touring in Denver (which is close)
I'm pumped about that
His worlds album is pretty good and I like pretty much every track
However, it's making me go into a state of music block.

But, how do they get involved in something like this without being pony artists?
