Here's my story:

Considering the average thing one microwaves (sandwich etc) takes about the same time as taking a toilet break that's pretty much bound to happen, and considering the amount of times people use the microwave the chances are pretty high ^^

Similar things happen to me all the damn time. I might not have examples, but I love these moments.

Heh, that sounds like what in doing, minus the production part. I've been contemplatin picking up production as a double major though... It'd be really helpful...

As for musicing 24/7? I thought I was gonna be getting something like that... But then I chose music profficiency (theory) and world music (essays) haha. Though to balance that out I did get to do little musical doodlings in music profficiency, and my world music main assignment was a composition. Song writing as a major though is a lot of fun. This semester I've gotten a full on song out of the principal study and two minor songs out of minor assignments. The two minor ones were a lot of fun to make as they got me thinking outside if what I usually do and experimenting a lot more.

Yeah, song writings good. If it's anything like my principal study, your in for a rather good time if song writing is your thing :3

So one of my lecturers took some time off last year to travel around India and write an album. A friend of his came along and they made a documentary, it's pretty neat.

The board might be neglected, but useful nonetheless. Low Entropy and Albo (Viral Conspiracy headhoncho) roam the board on frequent basis.

So. I'm gonna tell a little story about today, because I learnt about something kinda special.

So my uncle is in town visiting, and while we're catching up he brings the conversation to my music. He starts telling me about how he's shown a few people he knows my Soundcloud and people are generally impressed, but he tells me about this one friend who has an autistic 6 year old son. This kid HATES music with vocals of any kind, and he adamantly refused to listen to music because of it. So after showing this friend my stuff she mentions that it's all instrumental, no words, no nothing. So she decides to try it on her son and he ends up loving it, and he listens almost every day. I really don't wanna come off as a braggart here but this kid never listened to any music before and I had a hand in giving him something he didn't hate listening to, and autistic kids are really difficult like that...it's kind of humbling to know that.

My point is, even if you're a small-time guy like me, you never know who could be listening, or even who you could be helping with what you're doing. It's easy to forget that your work can resonate with people, especially when you only write for your own enjoyment, you can have the same effect on other people that your favourite musicians have on you.

TL;DR today I learned that your music can actually effect things in the real world for the better and that's something I and all of you can all be proud of

It makes me so happy to read that, Biggles :)
Music is more powerful than most people already consider it to be.

Big, big thumbs up man!

EDIT - can't resist.
That young kid, have any of you tried to find out what exactly makes him hate music with vocals? Does he not like the general sound of voices accompanying music? Does he perhaps not want people to talk when he's enjoying music, as if the vocals are interruptions?

By pinning down what bothers him, you can better get to know how to be around him. Like with all autistic people really, get to know their ways (carefully), so you know what to do.

I wasn't really told but his mother might know. But I don't really see why it'd effect being around him, but the interruption thing is a possibility.

Knowing it can lead to discovering more about how he works. You have no idea (though maybe you do) how helpful it is to know how someone works, especially in cases when the person it's about is sensitive towards mistreatment (autistic people tend to be).

It could be particularly usefull if you are inviting people to dinner and you waant to have music in the background.

Anyway, I GRADUATED YESTERDAY!!! AND I JUMPED AROUND ON A TRUCK DRIVEING AROUND CENTRAL STOCKHOLM WHILE SPRAYING BEER ON PPL AND LISTENING TO LOUD MUSIC! You can say whatever about the quality of todays music, but it's perfect for beer spraying and truck bounceing. People usually have some sort of soundmakers on the truck, whistles airhorns and vuvuzelas mostly. I learnt something about cowbells thouh, they can be played with beer cans, and they are usefull for cracking open beer cans.

Needless to say, I had a shitload of fun! And got a bubch of presents, like cowbells to the drum kit, a micro snare and funding for an ms-20 mini. This is great, I should graduate more often!

Great to hear man! Sounds like you had a damn fine time :P

I believe that the guy who's usually taking orders in one of the kiosks at the train station between CCL and the one I need (where I change trains), where I go to a lot, is hitting on me :D it's cute how hard a time he's having to make conversation with me haha. Told me he likes my shirt with Lyra saying "come at me bro" xD and every time I walk in there he says something about me being a brony. Just today he asked my name out of nowhere lol.

He also looks really cute o3o
