Introduction
So as people may know I make DIY synths and I though I'd create a thread for me to post my designs, progress shots and stuff so yea. And if anyone is interested yes I do sell my synths but it does take a while to send them because I make them once someone has ordered one...

Droner Info
This is where I'll put random notes that people should know about the Droner.
Depending on when I get the prototype done and how many people want to buy it, I may add MIDI to the first version if not it will be on the second run. Please note that the MIDI will only be for CV and nothing else, as in none of the knobs will be assignable. The Droner is Completely Monophonic.

The Droner will have a typical drone synth sound much like a cloud module.
Each of the Constitutors VCOs has a sine, saw, tri, pulse wave out, adding this to the ladder filter (hopefully) and putting them together, it effectively has 12 oscillators. Also they are both monophonic

Prices are still in the working. However the Droner will be under AU$100.
And shipping will depend on where you are and whether you want registered shipping or not

Niiice, I wouldn't mind getting an analog synthesizer myself. What type of connection do they need?

The Droner has a ¼" port for CV in and Audio Out. There are also 3 ⅛" ports for connecting modules from a eurorack synth to modulate the 3 VCOs. In a later version (once I work out how to do this properly) I will add MIDI in. As for the Constitutor this is still unknown. Also if you would like to run the Droner not on battery power you will need a standard 9V DC adaptor

Also please be aware that the Droner will not have any keyboard and will require an external one.

Yes, however to do that you will need a USB/MIDI to CV adaptor to allow for note control of the synth. And an audio interface so you can record the synth

Another note is that the Droner does not have any gate control, hence why it is called a drone synth. This means that once the synth is turned on it will not stop making sound until turned off.

couldnt that be solved by having a mixer that can be controlled by cv / midi (idk) and having an automation that slowly turns up its volume (in case of ambient cloud usage)

edit:

or just record it then do that in your daw lol

I'm talking about Gate... The circuitry has no gate inbuilt because it is a drone synth... And due to the low frequency of the VCOs it is designed to be used as a ambience creator

The gate basically controls the on/off of notes...

That is something I forgot. The Droner is a NAND synth but currently it is set up for no gate... if I remember correctly
