Rejected Battle Music for Sci's Competition

I dunno where to put rejected/abandoned music, so I figured here, considering it's not finished...

So, Sci is having a competition to write "Battle music" for a pony character and I'm entering it!

I originally started with the piece at the bottom, but I realised that:

1) It doesn't fit anyone as far as I know...
2) I had my experimental cap on, which I love doing, but themes tend to suffer under its...hand...
3) I had a much better idea!

So, I'm going to leave it here, to see what people think, it's unfinished and probably won't be finished, at least, for a while...
But I am proud of the counterpoint I used!

GAH. Hearing this reminds me of what my friend said I'll learn a few years into theory.

Friend: you know that stuff you are learning about music and whatnot?
Me: yah.
Friend: after you learn all of it, you then have to forget it.
Me: *sneeze*
Friend: yup.
