Yeah, I was going for a really creepy vibe, something sorta similar to RED44+10+SATYR44+31 by Aurastys.
As for the song you posted, wow. Just wow. The sub bass is mixed perfectly well by the way. It's atmospheric, relaxing, and fun to listen to. The drums are a bit repetitive, so you might wanna change them up a bit just so it doesn't get boring. Other than that, superb sound design and composition!

There's a silly little microhouse demo remix thing. The snare click is mixed way too high in that demo, so I lowered it a bit in the mix. Other than that, what do you guys think?

Needs reverb, and a synth soloing throughout, but very ambient and peaceful...

@Outbreak

Sounds kinda repetitive but maybe that's because i didn't listen it 'til the end.

@TheSkullX2 drums are bland; change the sound and vary the pattern
the guitar is nice but you need a lead or vocals to make it less repetitive

here's a somewhat old thing:

yes, I know, the bass in the first verse is mixed way too low

The intro is very heavy on the left side, which sorta bugs me. Yes, the bass is too low in the intro, but it's not too bad. What I am noticing is that the track in its entirety is a bit shrill. The low end isn't too low as much as the treble is a bit grating.

No idea what you mean by not enough compression, as that makes no sense in this.

I'm missing a sharper kick, a more rounded mid end and the aforementioned highs are too bright for my ears.

Composition is solid, though. The vocoder vocals are cool, and the classical bubbly arp is always nice to hear.

Could use some work, but overall not too shabby.

First thing I noticed was the the, what I can only describe as vshhh sound (Distorted wobble bass?White noise? I honestly don't know what it is) comes across quite loud and along with the drums over powers what I assume is the intro melody.
The vocals similarly don't stand out enough, I found myself straining to hear some of the lyrics. You probably needed a vocal track that was not whispered, because the vocals get lost. (I imagine a metal-esque growl or just clean could work, with the whisper as a backing track).
The last thing is it gets a tad repetitive at times.
I liked the the writing of the lyrics, the synth bridges/solos added nice contrast to the song.
The theme was definitely there, using the show's propaganda lines was a nice touch as well.
Overall not bad, vocals and melody could have been more audible. Gets repetitive after a while.

kick sound is barely audible, drums seem processed towards the high end to the point where it almost seems as though you ran it through a low cut filter thing. i like the melodies and stuff, and how the synths interplay, that appears to be your strong suit with this track. especially like the arps and stuff. drum part is written well, too, but gah the bass synth greatly overpowers any low-end you have going on with your drums :c the beginning sounds a bit strange imo, the drums sound oddly cheap at this point but it gets better as it goes along. the crash cymbal panned to the left in particular does not sound good at all, at this point i would recommend swapping it out for a better sample entirely. vary the velocities of the snare a little, too. but overall, i do like the musical ideas here very much!~

here's an awful thing i made in like 10 minutes (s/o facade for the odd sample pack thing!), mainly looking for feedback with the middle section

Love the middle and end section! Perhaps you could take out a hit every 16th bar, or add a reverse one to keep it interesting. I can imagine putting in glitched samples, panned hard left and right and stuff like that (to be honest I'm a total sucker for stereo width). Maybe you could pitchbend the synth slightly near the end of each 16-bar phrase as well. Or take out all the hits in the first bar of a phrase. Whatever; at the end of the day, make it varied and interesting. Great job, especially in 10 minutes!

This is (a work-in-progress) for a remix contest, so I would really appreciate constructive feedback! I don't normally make house, so I would love it if some house-head gave it a listen.
Thank you!

Man this is really laid back and a very relaxing track. To be honest I really hope you win. If I could give you a whole page review it would only have, "Good job! Good luck in the contest! Sounds great!" :) I would say just keep it up because it sounds so far so good!

SO basically I felt like I blew up a blockbuster in my mind and upgraded to redbox and I ordered a video of myself to remind me of my lost memories because I had my memory erased and I saw me on a motorcycle fighting the C.I.A on a motorcycle to prevent them to getting bank statements that had to do with the corporate takeover of my society, and I had just gotten this information and knew what to do but not how to do it, but the answer is simple and complicated at the same time so I manipulated the source code on one of their sites to where when they did an oil transaction with the middle eastern alliance it was rigged to dump all the city councils bribe money into an underground charity.

Er. I don't know what's going on with the guy above. Guess I'll review BronyGuess' track! Ooh, DnB. My forte.

0:00 Really cool intro!
0:32 ... but I'm not really sure it fits with the rest of the track! Nice ideas here.
1:15 I feel like everything could be bigger! The lil' chord stabs could be replaced with something fatter, or perhaps you could distort / manipulate the bass here.
1:51 You could make the drop louder. It might be worth considering mixing with a limiter on the master bus in the future; I know people say it's a bad habit, but once you get used to it, it actually gives you amazing results. My mixes have sounded a lot better once I've learnt to mix with a limiter, and you still get great dynamic range. Of course, it's your choice. But if your intro is louder than your drop, it won't go off well
1:55 Ah, I feel you could do better than just a simple square(?) bass.
2:22 The drop feels a bit short... maybe you want it that way. But usually I give it 32/64 bars (about 1/4 of the whole track).
Generally pianos don't go that well in DnB... Having said that, most of my tracks from 4 years ago have had pianos :???: but since then, I've listened to about a million DnB tracks, and probably less than 0.01% of them have pianos. If you want keys, consider rhodes?
Cool track, nice ideas. I'd recommend automating stuff, to make it less stale; especially the lead. Have the sound evolve, have a bit more variation. In general a pretty decent track.

==

Alright! My turn. DnB also. I've run out of ideas on this WIP, so I'm asking for some help! Gimme some ideas please!
Note: Turn the subwoofer right up!

This sounds great, dude! It's got a nice Noisia feel to it--that sweet "minimalistic" neuro that they like to do. I think the piano is a great addition, adds some nice atmosphere to the intro and the second part of the drop. I'm a little hard-pressed to make suggestions (as it's overall very good already), but maybe you could add some kind of string-esque lead in the background--not a lead lead, mind you, but something that kind of adds atmosphere. Terrible description, I know. Like, idk, it could just fade in as the root note or whatever, lots of reverb, fade out. I hope you can get what I mean, because I know going back and reading this even I won't know. Dammit.

---

Here's a (coincidentally also DnB) WIP I've got. A little sad that I have to post this after the one I reviewed as it's a lot lesser in quality, but that's why I'm back and here for critique. The main issue I have is making the outro drop fit in--I want it to be all liquid (also vocals are still in progress, hence it not having much action of its own) until the end, where a nice drumstep drop comes in. I'm just having trouble making it fit with the actual song.

Ok.

It's a nice track. That white noise towards the end could be lowered. Better yet, a nice and slow tremolo would be much better since that white noise comes in rather direct and quickly. Maybe fade in the white noise? It also ends rather abruptly, maybe fade it out with those repeating risset-glissando-like tones to signify the life fading away? I like those pads in the beginning, especially that high one that seems to wobble. It really contributes to that eerie and creepy vibe this song is producing.

Fade-in that sharp distorted wave as again, it comes in directly. Also, starting that random percussive beat slower and then speeding it up, leading it in to the white noise would give a very suspenseful effect for this piece.

In terms of the mastering, it could use a little bit of depth. Also, lower the high-end just a little to decrease the sharpness of that one distorted wave.

All in all, it's a great piece but it could use some work here and there.

Here's my track. This was a recording of an OC theme I created called Frozen Dreams. I made it with my Korg Kronos workstation. I already know ahead of time it'll need some mastering work...
