Cerulean Blue

Ok, finished with this. I wish my singing voice was a little more confident but no one else seems to mind, heh.

This is very nice! :D It sounds like an authentic New-Wave song for me. The instruments are interesting, the lyrics twice as much, and the overall tune caught me as soon as the beat began. :)

The only thing I would have edited is to maybe increase the vocals' volume. Just the volume, not the power of your own voice. I think it's fits the song that your vocals here aren't 100% confident, seeing as you're singing about and towards Rainbow Dash, who can be a little intimidating. :D

screw my plans for the next 5 mins, this is more important.

Utterly professional sound, if I didn't know anything about MLP I'd think you were a professional up-and-coming band touring from the UK. Everything from the vocals to the orchestration was precise and interesting, I enjoyed every second of it.

Never listened to McCartney, and was never a very big Beatles fan; the vibe I get from this is good. Just good, used as an emotion rather than descriptive. Unless it's describing the emotion, then... Yeah.

I loved it.

I could swear on my mic though that I'd heard the lyrics somewhere before, they seemed familiar... Might be my imagination.
10/15/2014 - I finally return to ponies? Maybe.

Actually it was more like 10/12/2015

Omigosh, the reaction to this in the last 24 hours has been kind of huge. I'd hoped people would like rather than hate the song, but I did not expect this flood of praise, and subs, and Seth drawing particular attention to it on EQD. Woah.

Thanks so much everypony :)

I'm especially flattered by all the McCartney/Beatles (and Elton John) comparisons. That wasn't in my thinking at all when I came up with the melody or the arrangement, but I do listen to an awful lot of that stuff and I guess it must just come out a little like that.

I could swear on my mic though that I'd heard the lyrics somewhere before, they seemed familiar... Might be my imagination.

I wrote them...It took forever.
