I like how intense it becomes near the end of the song.

Enjoy!
Doctor Science wrote:Interesting concept to base this on; the feel of the piece seemed very majestic and dire, which fits well with the idea of Chrysalis in Celestia's throne.
Disclaimer: I don't have a huge amount of great music that I've made, but I am a string player and know a bit about music theory and composition, and I want to try and help!
Here are my thoughts:
The lower-middle range feels too heavy; I would like to hear you beef up and play around in the lower and upper-middle areas in some areas of the piece. While I thought the instrumentation was mostly appropriate, I think adding a double bass would really help fill out the low end. I think an additional violin doubling the high violin in its moving sections at an octave lower would help beef up the violin's sound, which sounds a little piercing while still being somewhat overwhelmed by the other instruments..
Overall, though I like the sound, concept and feel, I think you should give the song a little more direction; try some new rhythms in the accompaniment, explore the lead cello's range and add some dynamics to gather up some tension and keep things fresh to build up to the ending.
