Ridicule me! Dubstep^2, and something else...

First one I did last night, inspired by lack of sleep;



It's Voodoopony's song 'Do What You Want [coz a pony is free]' mixed together with three songs from the new Kill the Noise album 'Kill Kill Kill'

1st track: Hmm I like the chaos of it initially kinda like breakcore philosophy minus the crazier bpm beats but it gets just a bit too chaotic at the 2 min mark and on. Very restless, maybe a little too much but its different.

2nd Track is pretty good (not really trance, idm) , the Dubstep remix seems to lack a fit between the dubstep elements and the original track.

Pretty good maybe could use some tweaking or samples put in the 2nd track to add just a little something.

I actually agree with you on all of the above; this surprises me.

I have issues with being scatterbrained and lazy, so toward the end of remixing the Dubstep track I actually kind of just said fuck it (The beginning part of the second drop specifically, where the growl and gunshots and stuff is) and threw it together.

I'm not typically a trance fan or a trance artist, so I just called the second track that mostly for lack of a better term.

And the first one was inspired by A) Lack of Sleep and B) Playing YouTube and iTunes at once with Voodoopony in one, and Kill the Noise in the other. It was kind of just random crap thrown together that sounded halfway decent. Ish.

I honestly should've just made it a mix of 'Do What You Want' and Deal With It (KOAN Sound Remix) rather than 'Do What You Want' and three other tracks; Dubstep slowed down to 128 from 140 doesn't sound as good as Drum & Bass slowed down to 128 from 130.
