[RELEASED!] Rainblood & Vomit: sequel to PP [Warning: idk]

Postby Supersaw Hoover » 19 Apr 2013 13:11

EDIT

IT IS RELEASED

Image

Great job on Pinkamena Party, guys. I think we're ready to knock our heads together and krank our next efforts to 11, yeah? This go around, I will be having basically the same team (ok mostly Dave! and I) that will be doing things behind-the-scenes with more structure (???) and "routineness" isn't a word, so while it's all on our own free time and voluntary, there will be a more solid foundation behind the next push to bring people to PONY HELL and direct ALL funds to charitable causes (this actually happened last year but the charity never even said thank you so screw them they don't get it this year).

PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT ON FACEBOOK AND TUMBLR OK.

Image
thanks to General Mumble for this work of high art just look at it it's amazing I mean seriously everything is perfect look at that turd

RAINBLOOD & VOMIT

SIGN-UPS ARE CLOSED!

We are going for the mentality of AS FAST AS POSSIBLE and AT LEAST SOMEWHAT OFFENSIVE. There is no video, fuck that.

But yeah, the aim is similar, make a stupid, painful pony track that fits an energetic/speedy theme (think ponies on PCP) or something that will otherwise melt your face off. It can be anything, it just has to fit the mentality. We don't care what samples you use!

All right, enough copypasting Circuitfry's post and changing words around. Here's the deal. Pinkamena Party, a hardcore+ pony album project, was released last year after Balloon Party was not hard enough after saying they would be "THIS HARD." This time, they're saying Rainbow & Rooted is going to be "fast and energetic," but we know that we can top that. This is why the new project from Pinkamena Party will be limited to the most intense and FAST music as possible.

Examples of Genres that will Fit on R&V:
    Speedcore
Fast Breakcore/Frenchcore (say over 220 BPM or so)
    Splittercore
    Extratone
    Grindcore
    Powerviolence
    Speed Metal (I guess)
    (Fast) Rhythmic Noise
    Hardcore Punk
    Digital Hardcore

As you can see, we are in fact opening it up to non-electronic this time, but it's gotta be insane.

SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED

ALBUM RELEASES ON JUNE 14TH. PROBABLY NOT JUNE 18TH. JUNE 19TH??

Now let's do this!!!

(Just like with Pinkamena Party and Balloon Party, Rainbow & Vomit is a FRIENDLY parody of Rainbow & Rooted, and everyone who submits things to R&V should totally also support and submit stuff to R&R. They're cool people. We're just more extreme.)

EDIT: edited title you're welcome makkon !!

YES! FINALLY SOMETHING GOOD!

I'm seriously down to this. Extratone/Splittercore coming up.

My idea is to make it sound somewhat like this pretty jewel here, only then more me, and maybe a bit faster.

In fact, I already got a nice pounding kick up and running, now to configure the drills and build a harmonic structure for support. Especially the latter's gonna take me some time, but I'll figure.

Perhaps anyone up for collab? Maybe someone more experienced with harmonic structures who is less experienced with actual *core kicks. Anyone really... :P

We're having the time of our life here :D
Come on, who doesn't want pure Terrorcore, Speedcore, Splittercore, Extratone, Frenchcore, Hardcore Breaks and more in one album, right here? Haha, we're gonna show you 8-)

EDIT - I just had a random thought... If next year, the mascot'll be Fluttershy, I assume there's slow and ambient stuff coming up.
Would that mean that the team of violence (I'm calling you that, Supersaw) is going to ask for stuff like Doomcore?

Supersaw, we meet again.
I read your description through a few times. I don't know if I've ever come across an album concept so pretentious in all my life. You're a nice guy, though.

Please place the obligatory [warning (of your choice)] in your thread title (you'll have to make room) to conform with the rules, your image is....charming but qualifies as violent in nature.

I just would ask that participants in this album make an honest effort to produce quality music, learn new techniques, and try to improve their craft. That's why this site exists after all.

Hello hi, i've come to add more stuff and too clarify a few details

Supersaw, we meet again.
I read your description through a few times. I don't know if I've ever come across an album concept so pretentious in all my life. You're a nice guy, though.

The description of the album is in a similar vein to last years project, Pinkamena party http://mylittleremix.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3189. We made sure that people that contributed to the album actually knew that it wasn't a "HEY FAK U" to Balloon Party, and that people could contribute to both. The album format is similar in vein to last years, and i dont think anyone had any issues (IIRC?) with it. Of course i can perfectly understand that people would strongly detest the theme but there are quite a lot of people who like things like this. It work wonders last year, and we raised quite a significant amount of money to charity which was a nice bonus! We are really not trying to "1-UP" Rainbow and Rooted, we really really want to stress that. Although the criteria is somewhat similar, we're after things similar to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtLS-QN_sRg . I dont think that would be a sutible entry to R&R :P

Also yes Supersaw is a babbu IRL and gives great hugs

Please place the obligatory [warning (of your choice)] in your thread title (you'll have to make room) to conform with the rules, your image is....charming but qualifies as violent in nature.

Thanks mumble for that image, as horrible as it is, its pretty fab. I'll message zovi to make changes to the title though

I just would ask that participants in this album make an honest effort to produce quality music, learn new techniques, and try to improve their craft. That's why this site exists after all.

By all means we are going to have some form of quality control, its not going to be like "HURR URR I SPAYMED A KICKDRUM AT 900 AND ADDED YAY LET ME IN pl0x". We're going to spend 4 days judging and evaluating each entry, and give feedback to people who need it. If anything we're expanding peoples horizons on extreme EDM, and helping to teach them to produce a genre of music they probably didnt know existed until recently. Me and SSH (As well as other fandom speedcore/terror/hardcore) producers will be on hand to help people, just shoot us a message either on here or on the R&V tumblr.

why

I think I'm about done with the brony fandom. That glimmer of wonder and hope has faded. Goodnight.

I wouldnt say that just yet. There is still S4 and other cool things to look forward too (not counting equestria girls ew). Understandably Makkon I can see your displeasure with this album, and thats fine. You're a great guy, and i still have that caricature you did of me at bronycon hanging up in my room, reminding me of all the great things we got up to back then. I dont want to see you upset with something that is meant to be a bit of fun, so i am sorry that if this caused you any greivence.

To everyone who is participating in the album, if you're going to post your WIPs here please tag it as appropriate if it contains Gore/Violence. And be sure to make something for Rainbow and Rooted!
