...I have never made anything besides classical, but I'm more than willing to diversify my music for this. Dubstep; how hard can it be?

Count me in.
Mainly live orchestral. My studio:

Yamaha P95
Roland Gaia SH-01

Roland AX-Synth
Korg Monotron+Delay
Yamaha SV-120

Hey, I'm new round' these parts. I've been making progressive house for a while but never made anything pony related, nor did I ever collaborate with anyone other than my friends.
But there's a first time for everything I guess.
Anywho, here's the song I'm working on for Balloon Party

Hello, there! Metajoker here =3 I heard about this group, but I didn't know its name until today. Any chance of taking part? I'm working on music right now and I'd love to go to BroNYCon, but funds are kinda low on my end. Sounds like an amazing opportunity! Of course, I'll have to learn to work with better programs to produce a realistic orchestral sound. x3

Right, disregard my first idea - I can't see that working.
I'm going to be experimenting with some stuff and I'll submit my best finished song in about May.

Where can we get our hands on stuff relating to this event? Like to the logos and "Where's the balloon party" voice samples and stuff?

Well the logos are on Owlet57's Deviant Art account. Go give him ALL the praise for dem skills. As for the samples, ask Circuitfry. I don't know where they REALLY are, but he gave them to me at one point.

Speaking of tons: we're definitely gonna end up with over 100 entries.

Are we going to do something about that number? only leave the best better ones?

we could have like a voting booth or something. where equestrian daily votes for the best better ones. OO wait! well i dont know if this would work but what if to see who the better songs are, we have EqD vote BUT they don't see who made it. they vote based on music rather than username. i dont know. its just an idea.

Take my advice with a grain of salt as i too am learning how this music stuff works

I say we just release all of the entries. If I understood correctly, we're all doing this for shits and giggles (and to get bronies to Bronycon of course); it's not really a SUPER SRS album, so I'd say there's room for wankery and general tomfoolery, and I think having 100+ songs on your compilation album qualifies as such. It'll be fun. :>
