LOUD HARD FAST HEARTH'S WARMING EVE COMP [NSFW PROBABLY]

Postby ExistenceCemetery » 09 Nov 2015 21:59

Okay it's a long story but Pinkamena Party isn't doing a Christmas album this year [they did the Mischief Night one instead] and so Dynamite Grizzly and I are doing

Image

SONGS TO RELAX BY THE FIRE TO ON HEARTH'S WARMING EVE

This should be fun.

I think I'll be handling most of the submissions and submitters and Grizzle's main contributions will be in the bigger picture [promoting, if I'm torn on whether or not to accept an entry, track order, whatever] so I guess you can send your tracks over to me at [email protected] [I don't know why I put "official" in my email. Who the hell else is gonna be me? Even then, would there be confusion?]

Alright so the drill should be familiar. Here are the genres we might be looking for:
    - Speed/break/trap/piss/mash/splitter/noize/shit/grind/yougettheidea -core genres
    - Harsh noise and its subsidiary genres
    - Techno/EDM or whatever if it's hard enough
    - Heavy metal/hard rock if you can
    - Weird experimental avant-garde "it's-art-mom-you-wouldn't-understand" stuff
    - Dark ambient for the end of the album [I don't want too many of these]

Some ground rules:
    - Songs should be under 600MB if that's not too weirdly specific. [Bandcamp recently upped their filesize limit so we can take bigger files. I don't want to put a length limit on something because that could get annoying.]
    - I don't care about NSFW content. Go fuckin' wild.
    - I have some amount of quality control. I'm a godawful musician myself so I understand where you're coming from but if it's bad and not meant to be in the silly part I might tell you no.
    - I'm not going to put a limit on the amount of tracks you submit but don't go overboard.
    - Remixes and sampling are fine if you want just know that if I get in trouble I'm pointing fingers at you

I'm gonna be pretty liberal on accepting entries and pretty flexible on due dates so don't be shy!

Due date is December 17th. Hard due date is December 21-22ish because that's when the album should drop.

Love y'all, and have fun with this one!

Watch this get absolutely no attention at all.

While I in manny instances would agree... I do not. In the right composition, trap can be hard as fuck.
Also, I've done everything from polka to drinking song sing-alongs for pinkamena parties, expecting to be rejected. Some where rejected, but the best wheren't. What I learnt... Deep down you know if it fits or not, so follow that feel instead of what Peka says :P

That being said, it better be some pretty darn hard trap to get on here!

And that being said, I'm probably in. However possibly in the shape of a... lyrical submission... that may or may not be acompanied by hard music... What do themes say about that?

What for? It's not like I only ever do Dark Ambient :P

Also, now that I think of it, there's this Ambient Noise track I made (and uploaded) two years ago, do you mind if I submit that? As it's been public for quite a while (even been featured in the AmbientOnline podcast).
I'm still aiming to submit something new.

It most definitely is. It might not 100% sound like it (at first, even though there's a segment of a kid poorly but lovely singing Hark! The Herald Angels Sing). It's themed after Scrouge.
