So if the guys in charge want the album to be less pony-related for no other reason than to reach a wider audience, why don't they just make their own separate album to do whatever they want and leave Balloon Party to be the pony album that it's always been?

Does that not at all sound ridiculous to you? Why would they make two separates for the same general damn compilation? It's not that they're completely veering away from pony-related, because that's their roots. Haven't you ever heard of a fusion, or general compilation?

Why veer away from pony-related at all? If they want to make a compilation album that's barely pony-related, surely they could've done that without Balloon Party.

Right? I was wondering the same thing. Just didn't want to ask and look stupid.

The way I get it (and I don't really get it), it seems that submissions will be opened later at some point. Just like with all 'milestones' so far. The BP Tumblr page seems to be the best place to stay up-to-date on it.

You can't blame them. This is a very true statement.

I'm a bit sad that I missed about everything when it comes to oppurtunities to enjoy this album together with my friends, like, the radio stream (is it recorded?), the chat (is it logged?), Skype etc.
But I'm really happy that I made it on. My track is a summary of the experience of my time with Balloon Party, and boy that sure has been one big hodgepodge.

I'll be listening to the other tracks now, can't wait to hear what has gone through this year!
