Well, I just recently found some interesting guitar soundfonts a friend directed me to. I will probably go for acoustic or some kind of mellower rock. Gonna finish off my Balloon Party entry first, though.

I have to strongly suggest that you increase the limit on the number of musicians.

I mean, look at Balloon Party! I'm pretty sure there are at least 60 artists contributing to it. You could at LEAST make it 20-30 musicians, and maybe say that each can only contribute 1 song, or something.

Yes, Balloon Party has a ton of entries, but I'm pretty sure that they're going to be instituting quality control... only the best entries will get on.

o_o Wow, this works out perfect for me timing-wise. Think I might pull out the old trancedrive, take a break from hard music for this album. First I gotta finish up a couple collabs I've got going on, though (two, possibly three rap songs and a BP track). Looking forward to this!

I'm not entirely sure that's a good idea, an open album like BP. But it's not my album, is it?

Heh, I'm right there with you. I wasn't real sure if I'd be able to get a track together in the next three weeks (a lot of RL stuff going on) so I'm sitting out.

I love this idea though! Hopefully I'll be able to participate in the next round if there is one.

I started a project and it's coming along nicely, but I don't think I'll be the one I submit for the album. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do for this one yet. Ah well, I just finished my last exam so I should have plenty of free time over the next two weeks

The track I started last night ended up sounding like Boards of Canada. I'm gonna add some guitar and heavier bass to it... And maybe add some fucked up samples like BoC are wont to do.

Me and EmpUbermensch are on a good track. All we need now is a little bit more variety to the main part, a few more better vocal slices and then to finish it off. I don't believe if it will take us longer than 2 weeks.

I suppose I could go for that kind of stuff. For me, I like abnormal time signatures and cooler chordal stuff, though mostly classical or rock-ish in nature. My ballon party entry is going to alternate between 15/8 and 7/4, change keys up a step every 16 bars, and combine electric guitar, strings, and clarinet, for example.
