I saw Cfry made a post http://circuitfry.tumblr.com/post/52589 ... s-based-on and wanted something new but last time i checked we were kinda running with this on our own. By all means put out your existing submission if you stick by it, re-do and fix any errors if you want to fix any mistakes in your original trackl, or do something new in 2 weeks IF you wanna start from scratch. Feel free to do ANY of those scenarios as it's your song, you should be free to make a track that YOU like.

Mixing makes your track BETTER for others to hear but is not end all. Do your best and get other people's opinions before you submit IF you want to get assistance on if it could be mixed better. Once you submit it we will judge it as fairly as we can on a variety of factors, not JUST mixing.

Oh don't get paranoid , i think it's important that there will be several judges and i don't think people will try to not be fair. I'm sure there may be people who may still be upset about who we pick to be on the follow-up but its just part of the process. Someone should make a giant torrent of the original submissions if they really wanna help out give everyone a chance to be heard as that would be nice to have available to people.

Okay... I am a little confused here.

I read the first post, and it says only rejected entries, but people have been telling me that anything can enter...

So, is that the case? Can people who didn't go for R&R go for this one?

@Exo: My only real complaint is that most of the first half of the song seems just... Uninspired. The drums are pretty energetic, but the lead is just saying, "Yeah, I'm here and I'm moving around, but I don't want to be." It's kinda bland. Only complaint though.

I know the drums are drowned out near the end, I've fixed it in the project. Just imagine there's drums there for now, though.

You're about half way there with your sound synthesis. Your song sounds a little dull at times because of the weak drums and bass. Try doing a little research into layering, EQing, and compressing drums. Plus, the basses need some beefin'! Other than that, I like it!

I would provide screenshots, but I'm currently on mobile, and about the whole VIP thing, I guess you'd have to ask Fry or someone who knows more. I'm just kinda relaying the message here.

Thank you for the feedback! I know the drums were not has good as they should have been, I was rushing them because I had less than an hour left to submit (which obviously wasn't a good decision). I was planning to add some Hi-Hats and boost the oomf of the drums. I'm terrible at basslines, so I just took the midi from the melody and edited it a bit. This is the first song I've made in two months.

The only complaint(s) I had against the album was

#1. There were a lot of poorly mixed and mastered tunes, that some how got on the album vs, other peoples tracks...

#2. Huge RMS differences... When you are doing a community album, despite genre, at least set an RMS minimum... I think the quitest track on the album was peaking @ -20 RMS
