Forum Game: Answer the question asked above

Postby ExoBassTix » 19 Jun 2013 00:33

I've seen this forum game on other forums, is pretty funny.

So, you answer the last question that's asked, and then ask your own question. Question can be anything, from "how are you" to "don't you agree" to "what are you eating this evening".

Please, put a blank line inbetween answer and question.

Okay I start!

Have you seen a thread like this one before?

In the Gettysburg Adress, how long is one score? (from "four score and seven years ago") And you are NOT allowed to Google this one I don't care what the right answer is because I already know it I just wanna see what you think it is. :)

^^A score is 20 years; though score itself literally means 20 and does not have any implied measurement; therefore, if Lincoln had not said "4 score and 7 years", he could equally have meant 87 inches or 87 lions or 87 liters.

Its a type of statement used to denote uncertainty or inquisition into a subject in such a manner that those addressed are expected to either provide answer or confirmation/negation. Can also be used rhetorically to convey feelings of certainty - a common form of irony.

I believe that there is a universe outside of our own that we cannot fully comprehend that is metaphysically tied to our own; and I choose to believe that there is an afterlife simply because there is no reason not to do so, but plenty of reason to.

Who knows; probably something no one really listens to yet.

England. Been there once and I like it pretty much. Also there are more people in England that I know.

Worst is subjective and impossible to determine within a standard human lifespan, given the vast amounts of music created across history.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of YOUR SOUL?

Assuming middle eastern philosophy of the soul residing within the heart, you have to calculate the number of licks to eat away flesh and bone. Saliva has an optimum pH of approximately 6.4, classifying it as a weak base. As it is 99.5% water, we must assume that it would degrade flesh approximately the same as water; with the added degradation of the roughness of the tongue. Water usually aids in decomposition; but the human body (which only houses a soul when alive [Aristotle, Metaphysics]) replenishes them too fast while alive to work.

That being said, it would take a lot of licks. As skin wears away relitavely slowly, and the tongue is usually quite smooth when covered in saliva; given all variable, the number of licks would be in the hundreds of thousands.

Did you really want that solved?
