No thanks. I'll just type my response here instead. You probably won't notice otherwhise, what with us being on oposite sides of the atlantic and all that.

I was recently forced to change my name on facebook yesterday :/ cause they want people to use their real names. I had a joke last name before, Fred-burger. It was very usefull when searching for me on facebook, and it was close enough to my real name for anyone to realise the connection. Yet someone felt the need to report me for it...

Is that bullshit or what!?!?

One of the main reasons I detest Facebook is exactly this, that it doesn't allow you to browse synonymously.
I mean, I don't have a personal reason to do so, but it implies a lot, and I like none of it.

What music would you listen to?

He is trying to teach you a valuable lesson. Nobody will help you out, unless the gain something on it!

As for Jazz, there's a lot of good Jazz out there, and a lot of different subgenres, and there's always a gazilion renditions of the same song. I personally like Dixieland Jazz the best style, cause it's got ALOT of energy, and it's great fun to play. I'd recomend the song "That's a plenty", there's a great version by "Calacas Jazz Band" (or perhaps I just love the tuba, banjo, snare drum sound). Idk. I like it. Maybe you will to.

Are you a jazz yet?

I definitely am a jazzer. It's where my love for music truly started, together with Funk and Blues, as my dad used to play saxophone in a band that played those styles.

But yeah, Jazz is very, very broad. There's the slo-mo old-people Jazz (which I love), the more Hip-Hoppy/Funky Jazz with electronic beats, or better, Trip-Hoppy Jazz (which I both love a lot), there's big band Jazz, with huge bands, fancy non-standard drum solo's, slick guitars, often very ecstatic percussion, and basically a LOT of brassssssss (which I totally love), and combinations of some of these I guess (which are awesome). I recommend the Buddy Rich Big Band (arguably the best drummer to have set foot on the earth ever), New Cool Collective and St. Germain (the original founder of Nu-Jazz, this is a Jazz/Deep House fusion).

Is this to your liking?

Oh also Flao, never heard of Dixieland Jazz before, I'll have to look that up :)

YES AND I LOVE THAT MOVIE. My god I love Whiplash so much. It also had some Buddy Rich in it if I'm not mistaken (at least I'm 100% sure he was named once or twice). The only thing I still really need to get to terms with in the movie is the ending, however well portrayed.

What are your thoughts on staying up very late to do stuff you really wanna do that you don't have/take the time for on the rest of the day?

You mean like I did last night? Sometimes you just gotta do something... And as long as you don't screw over anyone else to do it it's fine in my book. That being said, it can be a pretty bad idea if you have a time to keep the next day, which I had... yeh... I missed 2 lectures so far... I should probably go now so I don't miss the third one aswell :P

I swear, sometimes I hate myselt for not thinking ahead, but then I remember spontaneity is just so much better!

Done anything spontaneous latley?
