Clarifying what my genre is?

Postby Arkane » 29 May 2014 21:34

Kind of gotten confused when I started to delve deeper into genre specifications and I got lost. So I'm going to make this according to general consensus. xD

My songs often involve metal + orchestra and I know that doesn't necessarily make me a symphonic metal kind of composer. But I do know that these songs that I do can be classified as metal.

Here's a sample of what I often do:

What I do is that I simply boot up everything that I think would sound good together. A Preset from Sytrus, Philharmonik, EWQL, Edirol, etc, etc. Metal Rhythm Guitar and Drums, Realstrat, and the like. Mash them all together and render without thinking about the genre specifics.

But yeah, what kind of metal is this, exactly?
