Vocals and advice needed for a song

Postby Familiar Foreigner » 26 Mar 2015 08:29

Okay, I'm MOSTLY looking for a vocalist, but I decided to open a seprate thread because I also need some input on the composition, some help with post-production - basically someone with vocals-experience to guide me through the motions.

The song is... I'll call it orchestral, though it's far from featuring a full orchestra. It's fairly minimalistic, at least the first half. The rest is still pretty tame.
PM me if you're interested - I need a singer with a clear voice. And please link me to some of your work.

The song is about the crystal ponies, pre-cadence. Here're the lyrics, for your consideration.
Spoiler Broken empire:
The day begins, the sun is rising,
All is well but something's missing
We can't find our way back to
The place where we are, standing, thinking,
Of what's here and what is there
And why isn't there anywhere
Some thing on which to look and know
Our life to live and way to go

And all is bright but nothing's clear
And something's lurking and it's whispering in our ear -

No place, no purpose, no name
No joy, no sadness, no shame
We can't feel nor recall -
I wish I knew who I am
Despite my walking and talking
I wasn't fully revived
I think it's been a thousand years
Since I could feel alive

The crystals sparkle in the light
Through all the day and all the night -
We watch with nothing else to do,
We watch with empty eyes and hearts
What is it we can't recall?
What began this kingdom's fall?
We would have found out if we could
Bring ourselves to care at all

And all is bright but nothing's clear
And something's lurking and it's whispering in our ear -

No place, no purpose, no name
No joy, no sadness, no shame
We can't feel nor recall -
I wish I knew who I am.
Despite my walking and talking
I wasn't fully revived
I think it's been a thousand years
Since I could feel alive

And now the night is falling,
and now the dark is growing,
and there's the blackest silhouette
And only now we're having
Our one and only feeling -
We...
Are...
A...
Fraid...
Call me FF.
