Acsii's Guide To Apple's Logic Pro X
Welcome to my guide to using Apple's Logic Pro X. In this guide I will start off with more basic features such as setting up a project. However I will slowly move onto the more advance features. I will continually update this thread as I complete a section.

Getting Started
When you first open up Logic Pro X you will be welcomed by the splash screen. Generally this screen will not stay on screen very long, however, if you have installed some Audio Units this could take some time as Logic configures the plugins for use.

Once the program has loaded you will greeted with a window similar to this. Here you can choose from a list of preset templates, a list of recent projects, or a list of user set template. For the purpose of this guide we will select empty project.

Once you have created you empty project you will notice a drop down window will appear amongst Logic's session window. This window allows you to create a new track. In this guide I will go through each track type individually.

Track Types

In Logic Pro X there are 5 types of tracks:
  • Software Instrument
  • Audio
  • Drummer
  • External MIDI
  • Guitar or Bass

Software Instrument
When creating a software instrument you are given the option to setup a multitimbral instrument, as this is still the getting started section of the guide we will not go into what this is. When you have created your track your screen will look similar to this

Awesome, thanks Acsii. I don't use Logic, but I'm sure it'll be great for people who are interested in using it.

I used Logic at first, and while I like its UI, plugins are too out of date to properly partner with Logic, so I shifted to Live.

I don't know how much help I can be, but if you want Ascii, as another Logic Pro X user, I'd love to help, especially with the guitar and audio sections, since those are what I'm most familiar with.
