Redid music page/resources - senntenial

Postby senntenial » 08 Dec 2013 19:25

I finished re-designing a portion of my website, and I put up the old stuff again including my old NI patches. Tell me how it looks :D

Your page design looks good. :)

It's unique but I don't see any problems with it. It's super easy to use and feels good.

thumbs up on the minimalistic design. I generally hate complicated nonsense.

one thing I might change is the download button image so it's facing down instead of to the right, simply because it's kind of standard to have it pointing down, making it easily recognizable that way. Like at first I didn't know if the button would open up a more in-depth description, but then it downloaded.

It's rare that I see a unique website design that I actually like, so well done with that.

My only complaint is navigation is a bit confusing at first. I first went to "Instruments" but then I wanted to get back to the main page so I instantly went for my browser's "back" button which, obviously, didn't work. It took me a moment to realize that arrow at the top went back, so maybe try to make that a little less ambiguous.

Besides that, neat work! And lovely sounds!

I think there should be a link to your main page, but apart from that it's looking great.

This is really amazing;I showed this to my friend who's studying for a graphic design degree, and she said that it was better than half the examples of "great" pages her professor gave in class.

Thank you everyone for the awesome feedback. I've made some changes.

Changed it. Now only items with full pages will have the sideways arrow.

Zero > "I first went to "Instruments" but then I wanted to get back to the main page so I instantly went for my browser's "back" button which, obviously, didn't work."

I added a small box that appears once-per session (it's based on a cookie) that gives newcomers the word on how to use the site properly.

added another element with a fancy transition

Thanks again for the awesome suggestions, I'm sure it will make my site more navigable. Also thanks for the positive feedback :D
