The Spikes is a very beautiful sound. It sounds like it has formant saw waves or the PWM saw waves or something? Run through a LP filter to cut down on the excessively high frequencies, with a ton of reverb and played around the 6th octave on the FL piano roll? Anyways, I absolutely love it, it sounds so clean. Whenever I try to make a clean sound like that, it never quite works out the way I would like it too. Guess I better practice more.

You should make a preset pack and release it under steam greenlight for 60 bucks

you can sell things that aren't games on Greenlight...?
/me hopes you're not serious.

As far as I know, you can get FL Studio and the VST Z3ta+ from Steam.

I'll keep my eye on this thread, because I'm curious to see if my workflow on synthesizing is anything like what other people do.

150 sounds and only halfway, holy cow. I'm definitely looking forward to when it's finished. :)

between MLR, Cloudsdale and the Audio Engineering Society (chico state university's audio engineering board) we had a total of 117 votes. :D thank you all for your votes. I'm glad to have gotten a better idea of what kinds of sound design tutorials you'd all prefer. I hope to have the tutorial out before the weekend is out. Thank you all again for your vote and I'll be sure to do something like this again soon.

:D

Dude how did you come up with the names for those sounds? they're excellent.

Out of curiosity, how does one get so good at sound design? Is it just constant practice and experimentation?
