Orchestral choir plug-ins?

Postby Ruka » 16 Jul 2013 01:22

So, I've got a question relating epic orchestral music.

Is there a known plug-in to make the choirs of the music or do different artist walk around and ask choir groups to perform for a recording?

All help appreciated,

Both are possible. I know Magnus Choir is a decent choir VSTi, but ideally you'd pay a good choir to record your song, perhaps given some sheet music and lyrics.
oops I dropped the bass

will you pick it up for me

It'd be pretty expensive to get a choir to record what you want, most commonly is to just use a vst for the choir ^^
Symphonic choirs comes to mind if you want the choir to say something as you're free to build whatever word you want in the choirs (even in English!) to sing.

As LFP said, you're mostly going to find that people use virtual choirs for their work. Having a real life choir sing your stuff is a nice idea but many of us do not have access to one and even if we did we would still need quality recording equipment.

So unless you run your own choir, VSTs more or less are your only option. There are quite a few of them but unfortunately they always seem to be on the expensive side. Soundiron, though, has a nice selection of different price ranges, from $20 to $400, depending on your needs.

I won Liberis in a contest a while back, which is a childrens choir. Its really good, but not worth the 500 dollar price tag. I would suggest Requiem by 8dio or Requiem Light by Soundiron if your looking for doing some serious choir work.

Voxos or Requiem Light are both good choir libraries, though I prefer Voxos more.
