I'm horrible with plucks, how would I make something like what's done here? :o
It would help to know what synths you're using or at least what daw you have, by the way.
For plucks in general: Set your synth to sawtooths and put multiple voices of about 5 or more per oscillator, and increase the unison detune (or pitch cutoff) value until it sounds the way you like it; I usually go no further than 15 cents of unison detune. Then modulate the lowpass cutoff filter with a very short envelope so that the filter quickly sweeps down from the high end to the low end on each "pluck" that is played. You can also adjust the volume envelope in your synth to a very fast attack and a short decay with no sustain; that usually works pretty well.
For these plucks right here in this song, it sounds like pulse width (PWM) square waves instead of saws, and there seems to be less unison detune and voices than in other plucks I've heard.
What do you guys think?
