Connecting XLR connectors to a PC?

Postby Crash » 19 Jan 2014 23:31

I have a microphone with an XLR connector that I want to plug into my computer. Should I use adapters, or is there a better way? Will using adapters affect the sound quality at all?
I'd like to apologize for all the absolutely stupid threads I've made in 2013/2014.

Hi friend,
What you'll need is an audio interface. You can get relatively cheap but good ones with 2 inputs and 2 outs that connect with USB. I recommend getting a Focusrite interface. Hope this helps

Brilliant! Thank you. I'm glad I don't have to have a mess of adapters and splitters protruding out of my microphone jack. USB is so nice looking and sleek.
